This location is a bit far from main resort, which was our target. One think we slightly underrated is off-season access to shops and restaurants. Car is a must. The cliffs are beautiful, place is calm and clean. Plenty of garden, BBQ and bicycles available for guests. Host is very helpful and easy to communicate.

Hiking along the coast, swimming, diving and snorkeling around the coastal rock formations, excellent local food. Visiting nearby towns of Lecce and Otranto was very nice. Knowing a local certainly helped a lot. Having a car is a must if you want to get around.

In Torre dell'Orso, you have so many things to do.
In Torre dell'Orso, you have so many things to do. Lecce and Otranto are 30 minutes drive from Torre dell'Orso. You can go bathing in the seaside in Torre dell'Orso or in Otranto or in any of the other beaches in the area (such as Laghi Alimini Beach and Baia dei Turchi).
Try the local panini-like "Pucce" and typical patries "Pasticciotti".
The area can be very very busy in August. I would recommend to stay here in June or in the first two weeks of September if you would like a more relaxing experience. To rent a car is absolutely necessary in order to enjoy the area at its best.

Although town has very nice beach and Grotta della Poesia, I don't have any restorant or supermarket to recommend. The best food was gelato from Dentoni. You find much better (tryed 3 of them) and higher rated restorants from Melendugno and Lecce.

We only went to see the cave of poetry which was as beautiful and stunning as the photos however there was also a cove further along the cliff perfect for swimming even for children.A little less daunting than jumping off the cliff side into the sea.

The beach is fabulous!
The beach is fabulous! Gentle, sloping, sandy with crystal clear water.
This place is for chilling only. Nothing going on in the evening.
Not sure if we were too late in the season but the restaurants and places to eat choices were very limited.

We are a family who like to keep busy and Torre Dell’Orso is a small, developing costal town which retains a traditional way of Pugluan life & food. The beach is awesome.... but VERY busy.... clearly attracts people from miles around as do all beaches in the region. If you just want to slow right down, or stop, then this may well be the place for you. Almost all local shops / restaurants close in the afternoon. Too quiet for us and some difficulty due to not speaking Italian (our fault, obviously!).... but the town doesn’t cater brilliantly for English tourism at the moment. So we wouldn’t return.
Found amazing food & staff who spoke great English & gave tons of advice in ‘Salent Osteria’ restaurant (slightly out of central town, but in walking distance) . Enormous, fast pizza in Versuvio’ which is central.
Nb. If you suffer from insect bites then this may well be an issue for you in this town. I was bitten a great many times & whilst spray repellant helped, it did not solve the problem. Simply an issue due to the surrounding area being an ideal breeding ground for the sand flies & mosquitos.

Me and my partner booked hotel belvedere for our pre Honeymoon/Babymoon. We could not be happier. The staff welcomed us with a bottle of sparkling that they took to the room. All staff were very kind and helpful with giving us information regarding restaruants, places to visit and what ro avoid. Room super clean and spacious. Bed super confortable (take this comment from a 7months pregnant 😀). Rooftop view incredible with a pool and sunlaunges to relax. Overall we could not ask for more. Thank you all again for our amazing experience.
Very attentive, prepared and friendly staff. The location of the hotel is the best possible, with a clear view of the sea, the sandy beach and a beautiful sunset view from the terrace.
Clean, comfortable and complete rooms, we recommend those with a balcony overlooking the beach.
Very complete breakfast, drink options and hot food made to order!!! The scrambled eggs are delicious, we order them every day.
And the restaurant surprised us, very attractive prices and incredible quality and portion size!
We highly recommend
The property was very good and had everything we needed for our holiday. Daniella, on reception, was an excellent host. She was extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. She arranged transport for us to a large supermarket which was several miles away and she also arranged trips for us to Lecce and Otranto. This was very important , as there is no bus service operating in May. We also appreciated the lovely pastries she brought to the apartment one morning. Thank you very much Daniella.
The cleanliness and the facilities are comparable to that of a 5 star hotel. And although there are some beach parties going on a few hundred meters from the flat, we heard nothing when inside, the windows are completely sound proof.
and Giorgio himself is very considerate and thoughtful. he even once drove by at 10pm to fix a problem we had with the heating.
The campus is very good, the room was really excellent and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The locality is beautiful: beaches, Otranto, Lecce. We were there just before the season started, and we appreciated the quiet.
The hotel was very clean and the staff made us feel very welcome
We loved this place - the pool area is amazing and super relaxing and great bar and food service. The converted farm house provided a very authentic Puglian experience and it was in a great location not too far from bars and restaurants. Breakfast was also fantastic, with lots of options!
-The room had a beautiful view of the sea
-it is right across the street from the grotta and a 100m or so away from the public beach
-The staff were super friendly
-The hotel is cleaned on a daily basis (from entrance to rooms to everything)
-The bed was comfortable
The host is amazing and everything was perfect, I wish we could stay longer.
The host let us check in much earlier than the time on booking. Everything is like on the pictures - really nice terrance
The breakfast was just a-m-a-z-i-n-g
Location is perfect
The atmosphere of the property was lovely and relaxed, the facilities were clean and outstanding. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful and despite how outstanding the hotel was it still maintained the vibe of a humble country home.
The hotel was very nice, the staff of the hotel was super nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It is in a small village, you can get to any beaches in the location from there, room was super clean and nice.
The hotel is located at a very nice spot. We had a gorgeous view from our room, breakfast was excellent and the beach lovely.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Very clean and perfectly equipped hotel in walking distance from the beach. Very good kitchen. Great choice of options for breakfast. Very helpful staff
