Very convenient for Taormina and other mountain villages, as well as an easy drive to Messina and the ferry. Our hostess provided a lovely breakfast and gave us an excellent recommendation for a nearby restaurant. Good place to stay.

Old style hotel with great views over the sea and to Mt Etna, including from the breakfast/dining room. Close to the old town for easy access but just outside so it's quiet (okay, some wave sounds). Great terrace for afternoon coffee or apero. If you're looking for a modern hotel, this isn't your hotel. But if you're looking for old world charm, it fits the bill.

From the wonderfully warm hosting of the staff and the chef to the lovely quiet garden setting, we absolutely loved our stay. The beach ! The hotel has direct access to the beach and if you want to seat in front of the water you pay a small fee which was fine. The personnel at the front desk was nice and professional. The GM took very good care of us. There is a great restaurant near the hotel on the beach where we had lunch.
Hotel Ipanema overlooks the Bay of Mazzarò, and is a 2-minute walk from the cable car to Taormina's historic center. It offers a small car park free of charge.
