Thank you for having us. Very kind club of people running the hotel and the restaurant! Nice food - good atmosphere. We accidentally left some gear at our hotel room at our departure and they did everything to send it back home to us - so extremely kind from them!

Gorropu gorge: long walk in the valley and super ride in the jeep back up to the hotel. well worth the price and very nice people. The place is beautiful and full of interesting nooks an crannies to explore... but be warned that it is a physically demanding walk from the hotel down to the Gorge. The rest of the area is essentially un-spoilt beautiful landscape with amazing vistas over the valleys and hills. I will certainly be going back.
You will need to hire a car to get the best of the area. Drive carefully as this is a mountainous area. Cala Gonone is round the corner and has some of the best beaches I have seen... and I am from Mauritius! explore that area with a hire boat.
Use the Agriturismos and support the local economy. I used Muristene just outside Dorgali: well equipped for a good night's rest after a long walk in the hills... plenty of food all cooked by the owners from produce made on the farm.
Lovely rooms, cute and traditional ambiente, we had the double room with the balcony, nice view from the balcony, really clean and had everything you need for a stay in Urzulei.
The breakfast is perfect, many things of the breakfast are homemade by the host Maria. We had it on the veranda with a nice view. Homemade pies/cakes everyday. Maria does everything to make you feel welcomed.
Great recommendations from Maria - restaurants, hikes..
The hotel's location is perfect for starting the hike to the canyon. The room is quite spacious and cozy. The staff is just beyond great! We arrived a lot later than expected (unfamiliar serpentines, with a rental car, in the dark: bad idea) and the whole time someone stayed and waited there for us, even though we were the only guests that night (not main season). The breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel was also great.
This is a fantastic hotel right across the street from the trail head to Gorropu Canyon. We were given a lovely corner room with balcony view of the wild landscape. It was low season so we pretty much had the hotel to ourselves. Great staff, nice restaurant, really comfortable room. Very clean. You can even hear the goats frolicking in the morning.
We enjoyed our stay - beautiful nature around, tasty dinner at a restaurant (dinner for two ~50 EUR ). It was very convenient to start and end hiking near the hotel.
Room was cleaned every day (keep in mind that do not disturb sign should be used if you don't want someone to move around your belongings).
A wonderful stay in the charming town of Urzulei. The host, Maria, is an epitome of hospitality and spoils you with breakfasts comprising a selection of home-made treats like own ricotta cheese and pastries. We also loved the room with a mountain view and traditional decor. Worth recommending!
The room was very clean and the views were incredible. The restaurant served varied food for breakfast and traditional Sardinian dinners including pastas, mains and desserts. The hotel is directly opposite the trail to Gorropu Canyon which is a must see on the trip!
Very relaxed, friendly peaceful hotel . Great homemade food in their lovely restaurant . Loved spending time in the garden lots of little touches like blankets if it's cold .
Really enjoyed our stay in fabulous location, thank you .
