Fabulous large Japanese style room on the top floor overlooking the beach. Flasks of boiling water and iced water delivered twice a day. A very warm welcome from an English speaker ( though there were only 2 in the whole hotel) Our deal included dinner and breakfast. Exceptional evening meals of many courses, some of which we had to cook ourselves at the table. Great fun. Breakfast was a really good buffet. The Onsen was lovely.

uminca ウミンカ, hotel in Heda

Providing a garden, uminca ウミンカ provides accommodations in Numazu. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi.

A beautiful traditional Japanese house, well preserved, but with modern amenities (air conditioning on both floors, modern toilet and kitchen appliances, washing machine). The aesthetics of the building is 10+ and the location is really good, very near the harbor, walking distance to the coffee shop and 4 markets/shops to get ingredients for cooking. The kitchen is exceptionally complete! This is important because restaurants close at 4 pm. This is a place for people who loves the simplicity of a slow life amongst beautiful ocean views, and even Mt. Fuji on a clear day! The owner is super helpful and kind. Would definitely return here.

Omoideno Jinde, hotel in Heda

3.4 miles from Koibito Misaki Cape, Omoideno Jinde provides 3-star accommodations in the Toi Onsen district of Izu. This ryokan offers free private parking, luggage storage space, and free Wifi.

We went to Omoideno Jinde for our first year anniversary. We had an amazing day. The onsen is built on a set with a magnificent view of fields, and sea. On your right, you can see Mount Fuji. The outdoor onsen has a beautiful sea view. You also can book the private bathrooms by putting your name on the list. The water is spring water from the mountains and has healing effects. My hair and skin were in excellent condition the next day. I also found the shampoo, conditioner, and body soaps high quality, and they had a pleasant, relaxing fragrance. You can choose your yukata to your liking. They have a rich collection of colorful and design yukatas you can select from. The dinner and breakfast were exquisite, rich with fresh sashimi, and other cooked fish, delicious tempura and various side dishes. The owners of the onsen are very kind. They let us check in earlier and gave us the room with the private bath as it was available on that day. You can experience the true Japanese hospitality and comfort in this ryokan. That's why it would preferable if you speak at least beginner-level Japanese. We would definitely love to visit again in the future.

Good base for the beaches at Mihama and Odoi, hiking around the Heda Valley, and and going further up to Daruyama. Reasonable selection of restaurants, mainly crab and fish, and a delightful Show-era ramen shop. 7-11 convenience store has a very wide range of goods, though there are a couple of other shops and markets. Been here a few times, and each time find something new. Mihama beach is clean and comfortable, not too crowded in summer, best to bring own food and drinks. Very sheltered and safe for family bathing and swimming.
