The town is loverly and eveywhere you see signs, art and street names evoking lover and peace. a testiment to the people who live there choosing positive sentiments today given the recent past. Our guide Nob, picked us up at the hotel. On the way to the ferry he explained the history of Hiroshima. The boat ride to Miyajima and the Itsukushima Jinja shrine was very scenic. After lunch we went back to town and the Atomic Dome - terrifyingly impressive - and the Peace Museum. Do not miss this experience.

Hiroshima is a beautiful, nice city, in which I would highlight the Hiroshima Castle, a park with a ginkgo tree, a beautiful city center with numerous watercourses and specific cuisine. Good for 2-3 nights many points can be reached by easy walking there is good public transport available for more distant points but in bad weather there is nothing to do and staying overnight is enoughTEODORSlovenia - 10Scored 10

The Hiroshima tourist pass is great and cost effective. I really like it. A very nice pretty lady went out of her way to show my way to the hotel on my first day navigating to the hotel. She even walked with me and offered to carry my luggage up the stairs because I looked so lost :)) She also went out of her way to accompany me to the Train 7 platform going to Chuden Mae. Too bad was not able to get her name. Very nice and helpful people. The map is easy to navigate after a few days. Just not aware there’s free hiroshima wifi. I could have skipped getting a subscribed plan for 5 days.

Near the station is also a street car stop so its easy to go around the town. The staff is really helpful and they speak english. Reception is on the 2nd floor. There is a coin laundry, a vending machine and a microwave on the 3rd floor. There is also Lawson at the 1st floor. The room is small but it was really clean and cozy. The room looked also quite new. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
