This was east to reach and a good location to break our two-day ride on the Shimanami Kaido. Atsuko was lovely. She anticipated every need and went out of her way to be helpful. She gave us some good advice, which we followed, on biking routes for the next day.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The hostel set up is great. A chance to meet interesting people, but can be left alone if that is what you wish. Very clean. They did laundry for us, which was a big help; we arrived soaking wet because of the rainy day.

It is in a very quiet location. There is a small beach just behind the house. Outside the house can park 2-3 cars. There are 3 rooms of reasonable size. 2 rooms are with 2 double decker beds. 1 room with 2 single beds, and this room is joined to the sitting area. The kitchen and dining area is certainly the most interesting area. The kitchen has all the facilities for light cooking, and the large dining table can easily seat 10. The is a washing machine and dryer, and wifi is good and strong. The place is quite remote, so it is suitable for those travelling by own vehicle, car, bicycle or motorbike. The hosts are very hospitable and very helpful with local places to visit. They met us on arrival. Check-out was also free of hassle.
