Very good value for the money. The location was great if you don't have a car. It was close to the bus and ferry terminal and short walk to the more happening area of the town.
The staff was very friendly. Free use of the laundry machines was a great bonus.
The hotel is old and simple, but cozy and clean.
We will most likely chose Patina again if we'll ever go back to the wonderful Ishigaki.

The room was a great size, beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. This hotel is close to the port, which is why we booked it. It's also close to shops and restaurants. They make you fresh rice balls for breakfast, which was wonderful and they were delicious. Would happily stay here again, very good value for money.

Very comfortable apt, clean and well equipped with washer and dryer. Quiet and good bed. Appreciate there are coffee, soda, and light breakfast provided. Also has fresh fish store nearby with fresh and reasonably priced sushi/sashimi serving locals.

The only attraction in Ōhama is the beach and the various possible activities at the beach, including snorkeling, diving and renting of different kinds of floating devices and boats. It is still under development, so that a lot of construction works are underway and it cannot be described as nice for the moment.
Otherwise, it is necessary to go to Ishigaki-shi or to other natural places (like volcanoes) to experience more of the local attractions.
We tried two local restaurants, the kaiten-zushi, which was horrible and served seafood that was not fresh, and the steakhouse, which is a sister restaurant from a Tokyo Ginza chain, and was OK, even though quite pricey, but that is the case of almost all steakhouses in Japan.
