I wasn’t expecting the hotel to have so many amenities. The onsen was really nice and very much needed after a long day of traveling. I also thought all of the facilities were clean and the capsule room was much bigger than I expected.

Very beautiful and underrated area of Japan. All the sights were lovely and it’s a good area if you’re interested in history, and leisure outdoor activities. I’d recommend really planning out your time since the transportation isn’t as frequent as Tokyo and lots of places close pretty early around 5/6pm.

There were beautiful gardens in the city including the wonderful botanic garden. The castle was also interesting. In addition, Okayama is a wonderful place to stay with day trips to wonderful cities/sites such as Hiroshima, Kurashiki, Naoshima or Himeji Castle.

Besides having a few interesting sightseeing options of its own (castle, Korakuen garden), Okayama is a very convenient place to stop for a few days because it's close to other popular places to visit (Kurashiki) and a gate to visit northeastern Shikoku

Okayama itself is worth visiting to see, but it's especially good to use as a hub as it connects the north, south, east and west of Japan via the Shinkansen and local trains. It's particularly great as a base from which to explore Shikoku via day trips.

Excellent location. The amenities were very good.
Excellent location. The amenities were very good. They had a big Onsen bath on the top floor. The room was tiny and bed was uncomfortable. Even though I stayed one night, I couldn't wait to check out.
The venue is a 15 minute walk from Okayama Station, close to the lovely canal walk. The owner offers bike use for free. I stayed for 2 weeks and found the place very quiet and guests very respectful and owner friendly, welcoming and considerate. Use of washing machine also available but use between 8am and 8pm. Okayama I found very friendly, lots of flowers and nice bike rides into the countryside. God hub to explore other cities and islands in the area.
Hotel Abest Grande Okayama is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Okayama station. The staff members were friendly and accommodating, assisting me in storing my luggage before check-in time so that I could explore the tourist attractions in the Okayama area. The room, as well as the shared bathrooms and shower rooms, were clean and well-maintained, contributing to a pleasant stay. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Hotel Abest Grande Okayama.
The hotel was approximately a fifteen minute walk from Okayama train station. The staff were very welcoming. There was a bar on the ground floor with free alcohol, whiskey, gin, bicardi and schnapps. Soft drinks and coffee also available.
There was a onsen at the hotel for guests.
The breakfast in the morning was lovely, so much choice. The hotel was an approximate thirty minute walk from the castle and five mintue walk from restaurants and bars.
The location is amazing. Just next to Okayama Station and close to Aeon shopping mall.
The room was very simple but comfy. I love that you can choose which pillow you want to use. The doors open with a code which make it easier not to have to share the key.
The onsen was soooo nice! The breakfast was delicious and they have a free welcome bar in the afternoon that was a pleasant surprise.
The room was spacious and very comfortable with an excellent shower. There was many local restaurants close by for dinner. A delicious breakfast was available and the reception staff were very pleasant. From this hotel the beautiful Art Island of Naoshima can be accessed by train and ferry for a wonderful day trip. We can recommend the Hotel Koraku for visitors to Okayama.
Location was by far the best factor. It's connected to Okayama station. Amenities were great, has everything u need from a budget hotel. Room was small but that's to be expected with the cheapest variant for a twin room. Cleanliness was really good, view from the room was also pretty sweet. Loads of floors have coin laundry and vending machines. Staff were nice too.
Extremely polite and friendly staff. Location is fantastic. It is next to the station and there is a walkway from the hotel to the station. Great for rain, winter and cold.
We got a free welcome drink which was so lovely. The bed was very comfortable western style bed - firm.
The hotel is right next to Okayama castle and garden and two tram stops away from Okayama station so location wise it was great. The hotel itself is very dated. The room and bathroom look like they’re from the 1980s. They will make the room everyday but not your bed.
The location is good near the train station with lot of shopping and food options, the staff is really helpful (and we asked a lot), the hotel has carpark solution, the room is reasonably big, the view on the city is nice
Great location close to the main Okayama city railway station (at least it’s close when you go out of the right exit…)
There’s also a large shopping mall across the street which is convenient for getting food.
The refurbished building and the new hotel are a couple of years at least. Therefore thru still look pretty new. location is unbeatable, next to the station but not so much and close to bars and restaurants.
Biggest hotel room we had in all of Japan by far! Staff was very nice and helped us book a dinner reservation when we asked for assistance. Really cool city view from our room.
it was an only hotel near Okayama station that offer 3 beds in 1 room. Space of the room is great with a nice price.
Staff was very helpful and replied my message so fast. :)
Hotel is very close to the Okayama castle and the Korakuen garden. Also, espresso machine available in the "lobby" 24/7. Otherwise, not much to write home about.
