The breakfast was great, you have options for western and traditional breakfast. You can use the onsen privately for you and your family. The view is outstanding! Overall experience was pretty memorable, it was a highlight on my 25day trip.

Very friendly, attentive staff.The staff went out of their way to try to help us. Clean. Tons of food, if you like fish. It's quite a walk to town or any of the local attractions. I think the cold, wet weather - completely out of their control, of course - made for this last impression. Good weather would have made it easier. Thanks for the coffeemaker & free drinks.

We had a fantastic stay at this huge, traditional Japanese home in Oshino. The house can easily hold 10+ people comfortably, so we had more than enough space for our group of four (one couple took upstairs and the other downstairs). And the traditional style (tatami mats, sliding doors, floor futons, floor tables with heaters (katatsu), and Japanese artwork and decorations) made us feel we were having a true authentic experience. But the biggest highlight was the impressive view of Mt. Fuji from both floors on a clear day. It was so nice to open the side doors and enjoy the view in the fresh air from the comfort of home. In addition to these major points, the house was also equipped with other amenities that made our stay enjoyable (plenty of electrical outlets to plug in your devices; a well-stocked kitchen with an abundances of dishes, cooking utensils and seating; plenty of bathroom space, with three toilets, two urinals, and two shower rooms with tubs; and heaters in every room to keep warm on those chilly Spring nights). The house is run by a local family and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. They gave us a thorough tour of the house when we arrived, left lots of snacks for us in the kitchen (including beer, soft drinks, and fruit), and offered multiple times to drive us around the area to see the sites. It was actually very convenient to have that offer since we traveled there without a car and they helped us get to the train and bus stations. They also offered to call restaurants and the taxi service to make reservations since we don't speak much Japanese. Overall, they made us feel like family during our stay. The area where the house is located is a gem. It's bustling with tourists and food stalls during the day, but super quiet at night, as most tourists spend the night elsewhere.

Located in a forest, facing Mount Fuji. A car is needed because the house is remote. We were a family of five, everything about the house was excellent. The view, it was spotless clean, the kitchen well equipped for cooking, comfortable beds. Very spacious. We loved it and would highly recommend.

It has many rooms it can accommodate maybe 7-10 people. It also has BBQ outside. And it is near to grocery and convenience stores and gas station to.

Great location, rich buffet for breakfast and dinner with many options also for vegetarians. Our room had a private small onsen which was a real treat. Friendly and kind staff.

Amazing traditional hotel (roykan). Loved the japanese style room (bathroom looked recently renovated) overlloking the beautiful Kawaguchiko lake. Staff was friendly and helpful, they have free shuttle to the station (which is 15mins walking otherwise). Breakfast was very rich and tasty in a dining hall with a beautifull view. There was also a bar/game room with pool, fussball and other games for free.
