The traditional feel of the house was fantastic. The facilities that mattered like bathroom, toilets and kitchen were modernized so it was the best of both worlds.

My wife and I had a fantastic three nights at Kazari that we will always treasure. The staff are phenomenal- friendly, attentive and welcoming. The lodge, rooms, grounds, onsen, and snack/ bistro area are all beautiful and well maintained. The restaurant is just wow! - the food is beyond excellent and prepared perfectly. It was by far the best dinners and breakfasts of our entire trip.. This place is truly a must visit.

A nice house in an excellent location, within easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and about 20 minutes from the train station. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few meals, and the washer and dryer were a lifesaver. Akiko was a very gracious host, offering to pick us up from the train station when it started raining and checking in to make sure there wasn't anything we needed.

The place is really spacious, clean, and located right in the middle of Nagiso which is a great spot if you’re hiking the Nakasendo. The view from the balcony is amazing, we spent a lot of time taking in the beautiful scenery. Highly recommended!!!
