The breakfast buffet was excellent- incredible variety and very tasty. The front desk was the nicest young woman and she spoke enough English to direct me to an excellent dinner place close to the hotel. She was a top notch front desk person - patient and kind and so respectful. Loved the location - very easy walk from train station.

Great place in a quiet town. Would need to take a bus or train from Uwajima. Schedule is not regular but easy enough to navigate. Space is large and very well thought out with sleeping room, hang out lounge and nice kitchen with table and chairs. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great place to base for walks in area. Huge bonus was Izakaya down the street. Super refined and tasty. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place in a beautiful location. The owner, Jin, is very friendly and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The place is absolutely spotless and well-maintained. Having the bar downstairs is an added bonus and the food and drinks were great. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the scenery.

The location is excellent. MaruyoSiJi locates in the old city center. Most of the interesting places are within the walking distance. The guest house provides a parking spot at a restaurant nearby if you drive. There are only 3 rooms in the guest house, one with a bunk bed for 2 people, another with 2 twin beds and the last with futons.
