The service is top notch, super kind lady who gave us a tour and recommended some great local spots for food and things to do up north in Nara. Really nice hostel for a great price. I'm writing this review from an awesome hammock in the common area, highly recommend.

Yamanobenomichi teku teku, hotel in Tenri

Providing city views, Yamanobenomichi teku teku in Tenri offers accommodations, a garden, and a terrace.

- Comfortable rooms, beds, and common area. The bed was very soft and everyone slept great. - Host was very kind and communicative both before we arrived and while we were there. - Since we arrived later at night, the host asked if we’d like to take a bath. While this isn’t uncommon, it’s always a really nice gesture and I appreciated it. The bath itself was great too! - The kitchen is spacious and a nice gathering area, there’s even available food you can cook for breakfast, which was a nice option to have. I don’t see that very often. - Good wifi! - View from the room was beautiful, especially at night!

Tenri is not as well-known as Nara or Asuka, but the area is dotted with dozens of key-hole shaped kofun, ancient burial mounds. Some are accessible and many are how they have been for hundreds of years.
