Quite easy to find despite the lack of signage. Huge room. Beds and linen were comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating (they stored some luggage for 4 days when we went to Song kul - thanks!). Breakfast was a nice spread, and it was fairly vegan-friendly. The shared bathrooms and toilets are neat and tidy. Cute sit out area and garden. A nice pizza and coffee place 10 min away by foot. Excellent value for money.

Uz Anar is a beautiful new guesthouse in a perfect locafion in the center of town. It has comfortable rooms, clean beddings, ensuite bathrooms and a yummy breakfast is included. The best thing, however, are the lovely host family which made us feel right at home, helped with every issue, big or small, and shared so much about Kyrgyzstan and their unique culture. We arrived very late at night, but the hosts from guesthouse waited for us. The next day we were at the market/Basar and the busy center of the town which was just a very nice and exciting experience. The people there mind their own business and leave you alone, but ask for help here and there. But they are honestly helpful and concerned about you - to find the way, find a shop, find anything.
We went horseriding for two days and asked first in the cbt office - but went with a different agency around the corner. Always good to check other offers ;)
The food was good. Went into a local Cafe in the center,, housed in containers and it was crowded with locals - and yes the local food was very good and fresh!
