We stayed at this hidden gem with our family of 4 during a rainy period. The hotel and garden are beautiful and clean. The view is amazing. It’s located outside of the city, which we really liked because it was peaceful.
The personnel of this hotel were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, more than enough food. We had dinner once in the restaurant and recommend to try the Sri Lanka curry.
My oldest son, my husband and I had a very relaxing afternoon getting a spa treatment very good with reasonable price. This place is definitely worth a visit.

If you are traveling from Colombo and back 2for one night stay in Kandy the plan should be 1. Breakfast at Ginadasa Thalaguli restaurant 2. Visit Gadaladeniya Temple 3. Lankathilaka Temple 4. Embakka Devalaya (Temple) 5. Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden (take the electric car) 6. late Lunch at Royal Mall Peradeniya 7, Strait to your Hotel check in 8. around 4.00 pm You may visit Sandagiri seya (Sthupa at the top of a mountain) 9. Then the Famous Temple of tooth relic (Before 8.00 pm) 10. Dinner at KCC 11, Back to Hotel. Day 02 on your way to Colombo. 12. Bird park (I personally don't like and waste of time and money, they should have done better in line with nature rather than being too artificial) 14. Pinnawala Elephant orphanage (Elephant bath at 2.00 pm) 14. Lunch at Pinnawala 15. Pinnawala zoo (I didn't go) 16. Back to Colombo.

A cultural eye-opener.
A cultural eye-opener. Lots to see and do - but most major attractions are spread far from one another. Expect to take a couple full days touring Kandy and the surrounding areas. Two of my strongest recommendations: the British Was Cemetery. The caretaker has tended the graveyard for decades and knows each detail about each soul laid to rest. Also a sight worth seeing is Peradeniya University. A remarkable campus that lives up to its reputation as one of the nicest in all of South Asia.

The botanical gardens was amazing and really value to visit.
The botanical gardens was amazing and really value to visit. I didn't interested to see the famous temple and another one important thing is in commuting hours the traffic jam was remarkable and every one should calculate staying in the traffic in their schedule .

Transit point to big attractions in Sri Lanka. Ie.
Transit point to big attractions in Sri Lanka. Ie. Ella, Sigriya, Dambulla and Polonaruwa. Gateway to mountainous region of Sri Lanka. Kandy is also a historical town with famous Temple of Tooth. This town is best served with affordable eateries and several modes of transportation. Cooler weather compared to the Sri Lankan capital city, Colombo.
My wife and me spent 9 days at the Kandy Unique Hotel: we walked in the mountains, through tea plantations, and visited temples. We used to have 1 hour walks to the city center and returned to the hotel by tuk-tuk. The mountain view from the hotel terrace is magnificent, especially at sunset. Very friendly staff. Many thanks to Vishwa for delicious breakfasts and dinners. We had dinner 7 times and every time it was something new! Our opinion of Sri Lankan cuisine has grown even more
The rooms were huge and very nice. Definitely the nicest hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka. Bathroom was lovely with the bathtub and rain shower plus toiletries. Lights around the bed and tv were cool and gave a nice look to the place, wrap around balcony and view of Kandy were beautiful. This was just the standard room that we were in as well. The location was perfect, easy walk to some restaurants and lake. I believe his name was Kari but he was lovely and very kind/ helpful.
This is a really fabulous hotel, there were repairs in the sister hotel (also lovely) that we were booked to stay in, so we stayed in the villa apartment across the street. The hotel was beautiful and clean, and the staff were wonderful and always on hand to help. Wonderful shower, amazing view from the balcony, and in a great area to explore the city. The pool was also really wonderful with a rooftop view of Kandy! Definitely the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka 💖
The hotel is amazing, rooms are spacious and very beautifully decorated. The view on the mountains from the terrace is breathtaking.
Rooms are clean, cosy and comfortable.
Very friendly and professional staff. We had tasty Sri Lankan breakfast with variety of dishes prepared specially for us.
Hotel is hidden up in the mountains, if you enjoy walking, in around 40 min.it is possible to walk down to the town, observing the area around, or you can take a tuk-tuk.
Perfect welcoming with drinks and local snacks.
Very clean and spacious rooms with everything you need. Perfect location to explore Kandy and closer sightseeing areas in Sigiriya and Dambulla.
Staff is very helpful, they arrange whatever you need/ask including airport pick up.
Accepts credits cards (important in Sri Lanka).
Has very satisfying breakfast and offers lunch/dinner options since they have a restaurant in the property.
This property is a lovely 'oasis' in Kandy and provides a relaxing and very comfortable stay with stunning mountain views. Its in is a quiet location near the town centre where you can enjoy the homely environment. The breakfast and dinner options available are superior to local restaurants and the owner/staff are lovely and provide good advice on places to visit in the area. This was the best homestay on our Sri Lanka holiday.
We had the best vacation in Sri Lanka in this accommodation! Safety and cleanliness are very high here. The host and his team are very friendly and accommodating. We got lots of good tips on what to see in the area and were provided with the best tuk tuk driver in town :) Breakfast and dinner were very tasty and prepared with lots of love. We would definitely come back again!
This is the best hotel I stayed. It is not so far from the Kandy town. But the environment is nice and clean. The hotel is very nice and has a small beautiful garden. Room is very comfortable. Great value for the money. Feel like home with the friendly manner of the owner. Thank you for the Sri Lankan breakfast you arranged. Everything was perfect and ultra clean ❤️
The place is amazing, rooms are spacious and very beautifully decorated. The view on the mountains from the terrace is breathtaking.
Rooms are clean, cosy and comfortable.
Very friendly and professional staff. We had a tasty Sri Lankan breakfast. It is nice to have a walk to the down town observing the area around and the lake.....
The breakfast was always excellent, whether Sri Lankan or Western. Staff was always attentive and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Clearly they are dedicated to providing a high standard of service. The hotel has a charming location in the hills with beautiful views of Kandy. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
The location as it’s away from the town, and offered a magnificent view of Kandy.
Town was walking distance, and the hotel offered adviced on get transportation to its location.
Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, shower’s water pressure with hot water.
An outdoor balcony that had a magnificent view of the sunrise.
The word that comes to mind is classy. Beautifully appointed comfortable room. Impeccably clean. The balcony has a view of the garden and surrounding hills. Wifi was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Good location within walking distance to town and a few temples. Gracious and helpful hosts.Look no further!
Best hotel in town. Not even kiding, it truly was spectacular. The location is perfect. You can use the pool, the top floor has a nice bar and beautiful view. The staff is truly professional and will treat You in the best way possible. If Your in Kandy, i can highly recommend this hotel!
We really enjoyed staying here! Very luxurious room with under bed lighting and a stunning bathroom. Also a nice balcony area. The breakfast was simple but delicious, definitely one of the best hotel breakfasts we had during our time in sri lanka. The hosts were kind and attentive.
Small family guesthouse, a lot of thought and care has gone into the rooms, with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the best shower we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far! Hosts are lovely, and there is a beautiful view of the Kandy hills from the breakfast table.
The food and rooms at this hotel are wonderful. We relaxed by the pool, enjoyed dinner and drinks, and ate breakfast among the flowers each morning on the lovely grounds. The staff helped arrange massages and a day trip to the botanical gardens and downtown Kandy.
I love the location. The area is safe for a solo woman traveller. The staff is also friendly. I would highly suggest this hotel as this is close to Kandy train track. And the people in the city are mostly kind enough to help. And they mostly leave you alone.
Picked this as it was close to Kandy Backpackers (we were backpackers but we stayed in private rooms close to a recommended/sociable hostel).
Pros - Nice, clean modern, AC, felt the most hotel like place I had stayed in Sri Lanka so far. Hot shower.
