HOTEL VILLA CALAKMUL, hotel in Chicanna

HOTEL VILLA CALAKMUL is offering accommodation in Xpujil. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. At the hotel, the rooms come with a balcony.

This a basic, no-frills hotel. It was acceptably comfortable. The A/C worked well (which is critical). The location is away from the main street which has incessant noisy traffic and dust and this is one of the few hotels in town that avoids these issues. Off-street parking in a gated yard so the car was safe. There is a communal fridge in the lobby for your cold drinks and snacks.

Hotel Cabañas Aldea Maya, hotel in Chicanna

Set in Xpujil in the Campeche region, Hotel Cabañas Aldea Maya features a patio. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi.

Wonderful setting in the forest. You can slightly hear the highway, but the trees do a great deal to block the noise. Probably the best option for staying in Xpujil when comparing to other places to stay. The pictures definitely match what you get. The kitchenette has everything you need and they provide some snacks and a few cervezas to enjoy. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Facilities felt very safe and secure (gated). Wish we could have stayed another night.

This is a very rustic stay. There were chickens and turkeys from nearby properties running around the yard which was great. The owner Roque was very hospitable and owned a restaurant near by which was great(ate here twice) Again very rustic but priced just right. If you are used to fancier accommodations don’t book this place but in general it was great experience being this far into the interior of the Yucatán. Close to Chicanna, Calakmul(1.5 hrs) and Volcun de los murcielos(bat cave)

Wonderful quiet location with pretty colored cabanas and gardens on a family property on the edge of a charming town walking distance from the incredible Becan ruins and excellent driving distance to the famous Calakmul ruins and bar cave. The owner and his father were really friendly and he was very helpful with our questions about getting to Calakmul, etc. I really really liked the owner Roque. He was so nice!

The staff is very friendly, the owner gave us good suggestions on the surroundings On the last day they prepared breakfast for us The room is spacious WiFi and AC work perfectly Location is perfect for an in between stop and for visiting Calakmul (NOTE please consider 2 hours of drive in the jungle are mandatory)

The tents in the jungle are nice set up under a roof so they are covered from the rain. Everything is basic what is what I like. At the lake nearby there is a special calm and nice atmosphere during sunset. A restaurant is 5km away so bring some food if you need. It is a good basis to visit Calakmul and come back in the evening. The town nearby Xpujil offers plenty of shops.

Very nice hotel in the jungle, made of pretty bungalow with a big pool. The rooms were nice and the food at the restaurant was good (there are not so many others options around). Staff was nice and helpful and wifi was working. The hotel is located at 30min drive from the junction to Calakmul and approx 2h from the site.

if you are in the area to see the Mayan sites this place is excellent. Much more quiet and relaxing than staying in Xpujil. There are two quality restaurants within walking distance. Cute and comfortable cabins in a beautiful little area with chickens and an adorable cat that greeted us when we arrived.

The room was comfortable and had AC. The gardens around the cabinas are lovely and full of birds. It is conveniently located for visiting the ruins in Becan, Chicanna and Calakmul. We only had breakfast one morning because we left too early the other mornings. Breakfast was simple and got us going.

The hosts are incredibly welcoming and nice, and the place itself is a beautiful little shelter a few meters from the road. The room itself was incredibly clean, and everything in the room was very high quality and worked perfectly. Overall a perfect stop before going on to visit Calakmul

Hotel adjacent the main road, we stayed for only one night with a really late reservation. Big and decent room with large bed, only soap in the toilette. The structure was empty except for 4 of us, will be better in the future when the works on the road and on Train Maya will be completed.

The hotel for sure has its potential: the location is great, foundation is good, however it seems the best years are behind it. The problems are with lack of maintenance and few other details. + location + very friendly staff + hotel and room appearance
