Cabañas Punta Placer, hotel in San Agustinillo

Cabañas Punta Placer is located in San Agustinillo Beach and 0.6 mi distance from Mazunte town in the Oaxaca Riviera. It features a private beach area and a furnished terrace.

We came here for 3 nights and ended up extending it to 7 nights. The location couldn't have been better. Their restaurant is superb! Housekeeping upto the mark, infact quite impressive! The staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure you got all what you need. I'm an architect and I could tell the villas and rooms and the whole site planning is done in a very sustainable, and climate friendly way. Even in such a hot weather, we didn't feel the need for an air conditioner. It was always cool and breezy. The bathroom is so well designed and I really appreciate the architecture. All the rooms are sea facing so that's brilliant. The staff is very cool and easy. Thank you!

Monte Uzulu Boutique Hotel, hotel in San Agustinillo

Located in San Agustinillo, a few steps from Agustinillo Beach, Monte Uzulu Boutique Hotel has accommodations with a garden, private parking and a terrace.

The green views are nice. The breakfast is good and located in a nice area. The products of the hotel are fine. We asked for a special mosquito net on the bed - and it's great that they have this available, it saved our lives because they are everywhere and the Dengue epidemic is strong. However the way it was put, it makes it a little suffocating. This is something that should be by default available for every bed and well designed, given the room price and the vegetation that's in front of the Hotel. It's inevitable that you'll have mosquitoes everywhere.

Amazing property and aesthetic! Such a cool concept and design. The grounds were immaculate, the beds were super comfortable. The outdoor shower with HOT water was perfect. The pools were so nice to cool off in. Short walking distance to the beach and town. Very quiet minus some road traffic noise. The pizza restaurant on site is SO good!

San Agustinillo is a sleepy village where the primary activities are lounging, swimming, surfing, and eating. It seems European/North American expats make up a large proportion of permanent residents, making it difficult to discern who the tourists are, so expect to see high numbers of caucasians. Nearby Mazunte (15 min walk) is slightly larger but is much the same with more dining/shopping options open later into the evening, attracting a younger crowd.

Lovely beach, but waves too big for young children.

Lovely beach, but waves too big for young children. Quiet little town, much mellower then Mazunte. Lots of traffic on the main road. Remember to bring cash - the ATM overcharged us (and many others), and most places only accept cash. I'd definitelty recommend getting out on a boat to see dolphins, turtles, and maybe a whale!

It’s a small pretty town with fun activities and places to visit. It’s a good place to relax and forget about everything else. I’ll recommend visiting the neighbor towns (Puerto Angel, Zipolite, Mazunte, and Ventanilla). Zipolite is a nude beach that has nice hotels, beach-clubs, and restaurants. Ventanilla is fun to see the Crocodiles, horse back ride, and turtles. Mazunte has the turtle museum which is not very good. It’s nice to walk around. Visit Punta cometa.

    The beach is very nice.

The beach is very nice. There are some nice restaurants or bars on the street but not so many options and not so living place like mazunte. However, you can easily walk to mazunte and rinconcito street.

    This accommodation was 10/10.

This accommodation was 10/10. We rented a scooter for 500mx/day which was easy to travel between the town of Mazunte/Zipolite and San Agustinillo with no issues (day or night). I would highly recommend this stay if you are looking for a little more remote and relaxation. It is a little out of the main town so a scooter was convenient. Otherwise, the hotel will help you getting a cab whenever you need.

San Agustinillo is a peaceful destination on the Mexican Pacific coast of Oaxaca. The town is clean, safe and friendly. There are plenty of opportunities to practice self care. This is not a party town. If you look for relaxation and beauty, this is the place to go to!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and has a wonderful view overseeing San Agustinillo's bay. It is enclaved in the middle of nature, which immediately immerses you in a zen, and relaxing ambiance. While we were there, all of the guests were respectful towards the nature and the other guests. Making it a relaxing experience. The personnel at the hotel is also outstanding. Very kind, proactive, and respectful. We would also like to mention that the pool was an exceptional experience. Very relaxing and recharging.

I loved it here! It was such a cute, brand-new property a very short walk into San Agustinillo. The semi-outdoor shower (with hot water and great water pressure!) was amazing as was the very comfortable bed. The pools were fun and the staff was very nice. I didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast, but the chef of the pizza restaurant attached to the hotel is a well-known pizza chef formerly of La Termita (which I loved before they sadly closed). Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

We booked a room for 3 nights with ocean view, we had a room street side, with no view. The manager told us that our room was already booked, that he could just propose for the next day another smaller room, with only one bed, with partial ocean view. We paid in advance and the price was high, for a nice room and it was not longer the case. The hotel, as booking.com have sold a room with was not available, it is called stealing. None of them took responsibility. We left and lost our money.

It requires a short uphill walk to reach the hotel, but it's not too bad/ If you ask the hotel staff, they'll show you a shortcut. Bring a flashlight for walking back to the hotel at night. The hotel was very small and felt very private and safe. When you wake up you'll get to see the most beautiful sunrise from your balcony accompanied by birdsong. The staff didn't speak English, but they were very kind, helpful, friendly, and made me feel at home.

This place is heaven! You literally step out of the room and into the sand on a gorgeous beach. Most rooms have their own hammock too. The staff are amazing, so helpful and really friendly. The food in the restaurant is fresh and tasty. It is an easy walk into mazunte and san agustinillo itself has lots of lovely food options and the beach is long and beautiful. I can't recommend staying here enough, honestly just gorgeous!

The location on the beach with a great pool, the staff, the food at the restaurant, and the overall value for staying at a location like this. The property is super cute yet Mexico rustic. The manager is super helpful, personable, and very accommodating to their guests. Walking distance to everything you need. Another great stay for us at Casa Aamori. This hotel is an absolute gem. I almost conflicted to give it such a great review because I selfishly want to keep it as a hidden gem. The staff were beyond helpful. The breakfast was plenty of delicious food and the restaurant atmosphere is incredible. Anyone that has a gripe is being a Karen.
