The property was beautiful. Lots of antiques and fireplaces. Some very quaint touches. The included breakfast was amazing. Alonso would make us pretty much whatever we wanted and it was delicious. And he was no nice and helpful. He gave us some tips of places we should drive out to. The rest of the staff were great too. It helped that the hotel was not busy during the week.
They also took dogs and that was great. The area was super quiet for sleeping.

We loved Casona de Manzano. It was very close to the square in Tapalpa and we had a room upstairs that we could use for a gathering place at cocktail hour. The breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely accommodating. This is an old hacienda that was turned into a hotel many years ago. It is authentic, historic and quite beautiful.
