I loved the little apartment off the terrance with easy access to the bike shed. Staff helped me with bike rental suggestion and an option that enhanced my visit to the Sloedam Causeway memorial. The room was very clean and everything worked well. Breakfast was good however not a great choice when there are two of you and only one person can have the one slice of ham and the has to have the salami. One little roll of bread. Indeed two mini croissants and 2 chocolate croissants, so at least each could have one of each. It was good, just on the mean side.

Middelburg is a charming medieval city with cobblestone...
Middelburg is a charming medieval city with cobblestone streets, lovely churches, beautiful canals, and its own windmill. The shopping district is extensive, and there are restaurants of every kind with cozy outdoor seating. Dining outdoors on the main square is lovely!
Middelburg is a very walkable city. The train station is not far from old town, so if you book a place in old town you can usually walk there in less than ten minutes. We found affordable parking for our car in an underground garage by the Albert Heijn grocery store on Het Groene Woud. I can't think of any restaurants to avoid; every place we went was pretty great. Prices are a little higher on the main square.
I would recommend renting a bike and riding around the city, especially going out into the green countryside to see the cozy houses, sheep, cows, and goats. In the summer, there are flowers in abundance. The ocean is also just a few kilometers away and is a nice place for a sunset walk.

Beautiful houses with elegant doors.
Beautiful houses with elegant doors. Walking around town is great. A visit to the local museum of Zeewyse is also worthwhile and interesting. True, the fashion exhibition is closed. Nice, great restaurants and cafes. We had dined at the restaurant Basalt and were very pleased with the excellent food and service. A very nice central square. It was very interesting to get to the flea market, which happens quite often here.

Middelburg is one of my favourite places in the Netherlands.
Middelburg is one of my favourite places in the Netherlands. Very historic and beautiful star Fort city, the central plaza at the stadhuis is huge and filled with bars and restaurants. Small enough town to walk around easily, and the expected standard of cycle paths and signs, makes it a great place to stop when cycling Zeeland
The hotel is located at an excellent location in the center of Middelburg with good parking facilities around. We booked for 2 rooms which were located direct at the entrance. On arrival we received a warm receptions. Rooms are spacious and drinks and snacks were foreseen. For practical reasons we changed the room for our just married son and daughter in law to this B&B. When the manager heard about, he and his daughter spontaniously took care for a beautiful decoration of the room, making our stay unforgettable.
Our time in Middelburg was all the better for being able to stay at this B&B. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and delightful. The hosts were both kind and relaxed, and someone was always available. The location was perfect for us, traveling by train. The room was private and cozy, with nice morning light. The neighborhood is peaceful, and we slept so well after full days exploring historical Middleburg and the surrounding area. We also enjoyed the walks and beach around Oostkapelle (day trip by bus).
Middelburg is an amazing city with a lovely city center. And the hotel itself is located in the beautiful old town and quiet small street. The hotel is just renovated but it still has an old town-building atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful and have a romantic vibe with a view outside the garden. And the owners are very friendly and welcoming. We had a short but amazing stay and we definitely are back if we have a chance and perhaps when passing by again on the next cycle trip to the Netherlands.
Clean hotel with an interestingly unique interior, with exceptionally clean and equipped rooms and bathrooms. On a more than great location, in the town centre and just 5 min walk from the train station. Has a very cute and cozy café downstairs and great breakfast provided. The staff is exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful, ensuring amazing and comfortable stay and service. My mom and grandma loved their stay here! :)
My daughter and I had an amazing stay. The hosts were lovely and gave us helpful information about a Middelburg and recommendations for visits and restaurants during our stay. The room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the small rooftop terrasse with amazing views and the breakfast in the cellar each morning was a highlight of our stay.
The best B & B in Middelburg.

The breakfast was perfect too. The location is close to all sightseeing attractions and to the beaches.

Hotel Bruno's such a modern, quirky little place: a boutique hotel but less chichi than most places that go under that name, and in a lovely older building. I stayed up on the top floor and my room was absolutely perfect - huge comfortable bed, Italian style shower, a comfortable chair for reading, good light
One of the most beautiful old houses in Middelburg, tastefully converted into a hotel by the owners, retaining many period features in the rooms. Evertyhing superb, even a simple breakfast included (most Dutch hotels charge extra). You are a very short walk from the centre of town.
Easy to park near the hotel in a paid parking which is not that expensive. Arrived late and it was a smooth checkin. Lovely people working at the reception and breakfast. Breakfast was actually amazing with a variety of food and everything was fresh.
This beautiful apartment is very central in Middelburg. It have lovely touches and everything that you need for a fantastic stay. It was clean and comfortable. A lovely oasis after a day exploring the city.
The staff were prompt and helpful.
We asked if we could drop off our suitcase 6 hours before check in time. The owner kept them for us till we came back to the hotel later that evening. He also offered a better room when we arrived, which we gladly accepted.
Very friendly welcoming staff making you feel right at home.
