The staff was without a doubt the nicest i have ever met at a hotel, already being aware of who we were when we arrived, being extremely accommodating with us making our stay a bit shorter than expected on short notice and even offering a blanket specifically for the dog we brought! (And doggie bags as we left to walk the dog)
The breakfast was all around great, though we couldn't find a few of the things described on their menu.

For those who like watching the hustle and bustle of the shipping on the river, it is ideal, as it has a large bar and restaurant with a terrace facing the river. It is quite close to the Metro station with access to Rotterdam centre in about 20 mins. Forget taxis as they are alsmost non-existant. It is a reasonably long walk into town but there is a regular bus service. The tram station is about 8-10 mins walk away with trams running to central Rotterdam about every 15 mins and to other commuter towns down the Waterway to the Hoek van Holland. However, they don't take cash - credit cards only. The view from the lounge, bar and rsstaurant areas is an ever changing panorama of ships both big and small passing close by the windows. Vlaardingen is a typical Dutch Town with plenty of Bars and Restaurants. The vicinity to the River Maas is just perfect for shipping lovers. Now that it is part of the Rotterdam Metro System it has fast and efficient connections to the City and the Hook of Holland so plenty to explore and enjoy.

Vlaardingen is very close to both Delft and Rotterdam, and provides a nice landing spot away from the more touristy towns. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here, a little off of the beaten path, to have access to the whole region!

The room and corridors with carpets were not the best quality, some dirty on the floor, stains in carpets, old carpet smell. In addition the heating was not functioning properly, toilet radiator (electric heating) did not function, as well as air source heat pump. It was also surprise that shrew (small mouse) was running in the lobby, and little fox outside in the parking area. Generally I am happy staying in your hotel.
