Great location - A is so cute. Walked to the bakery, the stockfish museum, and to the cliffside! The skylight was fun. Glad we had our own sink in our room.

The room was located by the sea with a great view. It's clean, cozy, warm and well stocked with all necessities. Marcel was very friendly and helpful. Our car had a battery problem in the morning and wouldn't start, Marcel helped to start the car and helped us to contact the car rental company to solve the problem. It was an unforgettable experience, thanks again to Marcel and his house. Highly recommend staying here.

Traditional Lofoten fishermen’s cabin fully renovated with high quality wood interior. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom are both well equipped and very nice. Sea views from the cabin.
Owners Marcel and his spouse are very welcoming and eager to share info on the best in the area. Marcel even took us out on his boat to see Orcas! Their smoked salmon on sale in their shop next door is to die for.
Village is at the “end of world”. Quaint and quiet little fisherman’s village that is a real open air museum and none of the crowds of the rest of Lofoten’s popular destinations.

We had a short stay, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Situated at the very end of the Lofoten Islands, this accommodation is located above a Stockfish museum (unfortunately closed during our winter visit) and right next to the bus stop, just a 2-3 minute walk away. There's a fairly big parking spot, making it easy to get to and from nearby destinations like Reine, Moskenes, and Hamnøy. The neighborhood is charmingly quaint, and we had a fantastic view of the ocean from our room.
Check-in was smooth, with everything communicated via the Booking.com app. Inside, it's warm and cozy, with towels provided. There's plenty of room for luggage, and the kitchen is cute and equipped with all the basic amenities for cooking simple meals.
One tip: there are no convenience or grocery stores nearby, so be sure to bring supplies if you plan to cook for yourself. There were some condiments and spices available for free use when we were there.
Huge thumbs up for the location, value for money, and amenities. We'd love to stay here again during the summer!

Salteriet offers typical fisherman houses, that means the perfect lodging to travel and experience Lofoten.
Everything was perfect: the welcoming at the reception, the room was big and well furnished, everything clean.
I had a shared bath in the hostel, that was perfect and clean too.
Really good restaurant connected (Brygga Restaurant)

The location next to the ferry and on the water was why I booked. The hotel was so much than I had expected. Our room had an amazing view of the sunrise! The breakfast buffet was delicious and a great way to start the day

We stayed overnight, arriving late and leaving the following day. My son wanted to run with our dog, and found a very rough path around a lake. Not the right place to look for gentle walks or unimpeded runs (unless you like running with cars), as the mountains tower impressively over the village, appearing to rise vertically from the sea. The location is, in that respect, stupendous, with lots of photo opportunities. Quite a few options for things to do - museums, cafes, a restaurant, fishing - definitely fishing - particularly if you find anything cod-related fascinating. I think a one night stay would be sufficient for most people. We enjoyed our time there

A is a perfect location.
A is a perfect location. Yes it is at the end of the Lofoten, but it is not so far from many interesting place to see. You can stay one week there easily +++++++ (and you will still not have explored all :)

At the very south end of the splendid Lofoten islands, Å is a calm and very attractive tiny harbour with an impressive landscape of sharp mountains falling verticaly in the sea. So many other places (Sorvagen, Reine, Hamnoy, Sund, Nusfjord, Fredvang, Henningsvaer, Kabelvag ... ) are really wonderful and must be visited but the distances are so important (130 km from Å to Leknes and return !) that, as time is limited, my solution was to choose some of them when driving south and the others when returning north ... to miss the minimum, minimize the frustration and fill up the camera !
