The best hotel receptionist i have encountered during my holiday in Norway. She was extremely helpful and welcoming.
She has helped me to find where to park and made my day. The hotel is close to the ferry and it is dog friendly and there is a car park near. Highly recommend if you are in Kristiansand. Thanks for your hospitality.

The hotel was located conventiently near both the train and the ferry terminal. When attempting to check in before 15:00 the desk clerk was extremely rude, interrupting and admonishing me for arriving early before I could even introduce myself. We ended up having to wait until 50 minutes after official check-in time to have access to our room. We booked the Presidential Suite and were very disappointed with it. It was old and dated, with dirty carpet, dusty surfaces and missing both the bathrobes and slippers that were listed as provided amenities. Also, it is very annoying to have a mini-bar but no prices.
There was no telephone in the room so the only way to contact the staff was by going to the front desk and waiting in line. The property is very dated and in serious need of a renovation. In addition, the staff could use a refresher course in customer courtesy.

My trip to Kristiansand was primarily to visit my son . The city is very nice during the summer and believe that there are more activities, but not much to do during the winter , not unless it’s for shopping 🛍

Nearby water park and zoo (Dreypark) was fantastic, we spent the whole day there. Ferry ride from Lillesand to Kristiansand on the M/B Oya was spectacular, highly recommended to see the coast and small villages nestled among the islands. Book ahead to make sure you get on. We took the ferry one way and then took the city bus back to pick up the cars in Lillesand. Many restaurants to choose from in the downtown area.

Norway is stunning and beautiful.
Norway is stunning and beautiful. Kristiansand is the jumping off point after arriving on the Ferry from Hirtshals, Denmark. The drive along the southern coast is absolutely amazing. I would love to go back.
Breakfast is good, room is ok, however cold floors in the bathroom and slightly dirty floor with some rubbish and food from previous guests under the bed (when we moved the bed) - but this is probably something which is difficult to move and clean for a cleaning lady. Location is good and staff is very helpful and polite. We could get extra bed-cloth, toilet paper, towels, even some place in the fridge at reception for milk for children. It was comfortable for our family with (many) small children to stay in the hotel.
The cabin is newly built and feels very fresh and welcoming. It is equipped with all the things that you may need during your stay. Everything was very well organized. The location is quite good. Very short distance to Kristiansand. Its definitely good place to stay with children. The host met us on day one and explained/answered our queries. The host is very nice and professional.
Overall, we had very nice and comfortable stay in the cabin and would definitely recommend it to other people with BIG YES :-)
it was good enough for us. Most important was clean sheets and towels and clean room. It was good. Least good: Not enough space on one side of the bed. It should be possible to arrange better. Missed english tv channel and CNN. My favourite channel is french here in Norway - in French - and not English.
Nice hotel
Good family room with big bathroom, suitable for a family
Nice breakfast with plenty of choice
Good location near the aquatic park and the marina
No need of car to explore the city, possibility to walk to access interesting locations (Odderøya for example)
Clean, modern, great bed, windows I could open for fresh air and could also control the heat and light from a console at the door. Slept very well and the blinds made the room completely dark, a good thing in June in Norway.
The fabulous staff. They rang me in the morning even before we had left Ålesund to welcome us for the day. They were incredible kind and helpful , recommended the best restaurant and made the booking. Best service in Norway.
The location couldn't be more perfect! Right in the middle of town, with all the shops and restaurants right there around the hotel, and a giant parking garage down below. The rooms were nice and spacious enough.
Very clean, comfortable and an ideal location for local amenities. We were in Kristiansand to accompany our son who is studying at the local University. This was only a 6 minute drive away from us too.
Very nice hotel in the center of the town. Very friendly reception personnel. Received a complimentary bottle of water. Nice continental breakfast included in the price. Very comfortable beds.
I was given a complimentary take out breakfast because I had a very early departure. The staff ordered a taxi for me. The room was comfortable and clean.
