The most important thing is that everyone is friendly especially the owner. We stayed here for 4 days and the hotel owner personally guided us.all the facilities are good. The location is also in a really perfect spot. The elephant breeding centre is near the hotel where you can go by walking too. experienced a lot of things. Saw a lot of wild animals. So if you're coming to sauraha and you're looking for a hotel this'll be a perfect place to stay.

Our host and his family have been absolutely kind and helpful and exceeded our expectations. Vishnu is a great and experienced guide of the jungle and can arrange and guide a variety of activities in the Chitwan national park. We definitely recommend a hike with him in the jungle. The setting of the small bungalow-style rooms around the big garden is amazing, the dinning hall very comfortable and cool and the meals they serve (breakfast, lunch, dinner) very tasty and qood quality.

Make sure you visit the animal friendly project Stand Up 4 elephants! It’s free and you meet two rescue elephants ladies :)
We did a full day jeep safari and a half day jungle walk+canoeing. We were lucky and saw a bear, a bison, wild elephants and rhinos. Lots of colourful birds, crocodiles, monkeys etc. but you need luck to see the big animals.
It’s sad that it is allowed to ride elephants in the Nationalpark what is an absolutely animal crime and the idea of a Nationalpark is to protect animals and nature. Also, to make more money, they let start five jeeps with one or two guests in it instead of putting them together. So they need to make more efforts and be more eco friendly. It worth a visit when you are already in the country and have time. But two days are enough.

Chitwan National Park is extremely wonderful with a combination of forest, grassland and marsh with the River Rapti and its tributaries flowing right in between the forest area. Also the wildlife is varied with tigers, spotted deer, rhinos, crocodiles and birds.
Ample number of jeep and walking safaris here with knowledgeable guides and stay in the village with Nepal food

It was my second visit to Chitwan.
It was my second visit to Chitwan. I'll be returning again soon, to see more of what I haven't seen yet. I've, the crocodile breeding centre and the elephants.
Plenty of places to choose from for meals.
Easy to walk around the town, apart from where the streets are being improved.
Plus, even when many tourists there, it doesn't seem crowded.
Pleasant weather during my time there.
Plus, I managed to see several football World Cup games, at different bars/restaurants.

It was a great park for seeing wildlife. The smells and sights of the jungle were revitalizing. People were friendly. A large selection of tasty food
Everything was in walking distance in the town. The horse drawn carriages were fun, but shop around for price.

Chitwan is relatively small and poor town.
Chitwan is relatively small and poor town. It's easy to commute by renting a bike. There's no taxi or just tuk-tuk.
It's better to visit Chitwan in Summer as you will see more animals in the national park and take better pictures. In winter, it's very moist, with a deep fog in the morning until noon. And animals are rare.

Great for a relaxed time after trekking and nice contrast to the dirty and busy cities.
Many wild animals to see and beautiful nature. We were there in october so the grass was very high. Winter and spring are said to be better for Safari since the grass is cut then.
I absolutely hated how some elephants are treated. I don't want to generalise this but on a canoeing tour with jungle walk we visited a national elephant farm. All elephants were chained in a fenced area. Some even on both front feet so that they really couldn't move.
Some seemed to be completely traumatised.
