The Kinross Hotel was located perfectly within the wine region of Gibbston valley - giving you equal access to the many wineries surrounding it (as well, of course, to the one on their property. The grounds were beautiful: plenty of spaces to relax outside - on picnic tables, bean bags, etc. - room to explore the grounds that were replete with bunnies, ducks, and other birds. Their dinner (which you need to book ahead of time - by 4:30!) was delicious with a bottle of their wine (which you need to purchase from your room!). The room was very spacious, if a bit sparsely furnished (especially the bathroom). Overall, definitely recommend though!

Staff were very friendly, hotel was close to Cromwell village, balcony was lovely to sit outside in the evening, breakfast at the restaurant adjoining the hotel was very nice and reasonably priced.

Our stay at Stoneridge was little short of ideal! The grounds were simply stunning - you take a steep drive up to the resort, passing by vineyards and rose bushes. The buildings have a historic stone and wrought-iron look and truly feel like they have been there for centuries. Walk around the grounds and you might also see the very cute, peaceful chapel. The rooms were, again, stunning, with beautiful views over Lake Hayes. They were spacious and thoughtfully furnished, including the bathrooms which had his and hers sinks. On checking in, we were greeted by their very friendly staff who offered us two glasses of rose and a lovely cheese board. In short, we loved it here - it felt like pure luxury!

Location is great, only 5 mins from airport, and even though the parking is limited, we had no trouble parking our car in the garage. Supermarket if only 5 mins walking, with a limited choices of restaurants. Downtown is about 10 mins away by car. We found it to be very convenient to visit other attractions because we didn't have to drive thru the traffic in Queenstown.

Wyndham Garden Queenstown opened in April 2018 at the foot of the spectacular Remarkables and a short walk to Remarkables shopping center.
