Close to the marina and local restaurants. Breakfast was yummy and overlooked the docks. Flexible check out times and we were able to keep our luggage there while on our morning tour.
Overall you're paying for the location, not the room size or amenities.

Great hotel really, a gem in Paracas. They actually upgraded us for free, which was a very pleasant surprise.
Service was phenomenal, staff were quick to respond and super friendly and helpful. Most were bilingual as well. Drinks from the restaurant made it to our room in about 5 minutes every time, they ordered our taxis, and always helped with luggage and opening the doors.
Amazing pools, one is heated. The other pool is spacious but could use a deep end. The restaurant is amazing, food, desserts, and drinks were delicious and the waiters were attentive and friendly.
My girlfriend and I enjoyed the massages at their spa so much the first time, we ended up scheduling some the following day.
The spa in the suite was really nice as well, only recommendation would be slanting both side of the spa so a couple can really enjoy it together.
Museum was also a lot nicer than we expected, history from all parts of Peru are there.
Game area was a nice little area, ping pong, foosball, darts, and pool. They also have indoor rock climbing there (mostly for kids but adults can do it too). There is even a trampoline outside, my girlfriend and I are adults but still took a turn on that.

I really liked Paracas. It's a small beach resort with plenty bars, restaurants and shops.
There appears to be only two ATM's and the one in the main section near the beach will charge you 25 soles a pop so bear that in mind.
It's great for visiting the National Reserve Park - you'd need to either hire a buggy/scooter or go with a tour in my opinion. It's big and it's beautiful. It closes at 4pm so you wouldn't want to leave it too late.
You can also visit Las Islas Ballestas - mini Galapagos in Peru. It's gorgeous and I'm not a bird lover. The boat trip alone is a winner for me
You can also go kayaking and there are two small water parks/water based activities along the beach too.
It's hot so don't forget the sunscreen. I was just there and it's April which is their Autumn.
I spent about 4 nights there and I really enjoyed just walking the beach and relaxing.

Paracas was not the best stop on my Peru trip.
Paracas was not the best stop on my Peru trip. First of all, lots of visitors got heavy stomach problems once in Paracas (it is probably the water). The best part is to visit the natural Reserva. The Islas Ballestas islands is not the best...I mean the boats are going there constantly full of tourists...I do not think it is the best for the animals that live there..We were told that due to climate change they are also not reproducing anymore so soon no Humboldt penguins or pelicanos will be there. The bets would be close this area from tourists...

Paracas has some really beautiful sights. Ballestas islands are a must see and the national park is beautiful!
Paracas Beach is crowded and not very clean. And the minimarts are very expensive compared to other places in Peru- stock up on snacks and water before you you arrive!

We planned two full days, which was great for a relaxing vacation, but we could have done Paracas with one full day. Next time, I would plan to visit the Islas Ballestas at 8am the first morning, have lunch in town afterwards, then visit the National Reserve in the afternoon. Visiting the reserve in the morning was probably better, since the wind is a problem in the afternoon, but it could still be done in one day. Either way, if you're in Paracas you must see both the islands and the reserve. Plan for a ceviche lunch at Playa Lagunillas.

The visit to the Ballestas Islands is really worth it, and the quality of the tour is fair, but I regretted to not have been able to spend more time there; we went back about 30 minutes earlier than planned, and we stayed like barely 5 minutes to observe the sea lions from close.
The other main tour is the Paracas natural reserve, which in itself is beautiful, but the tour was not so great, as we made several stops which were not so necessary to me and when we finally made it to the main spot which was playa Lagunilla, we didn't have time to take a swim.

Cute little town to visit for a day and do the bird island excursion. Although the boats are packed and your knees will hurt from sitting in tight quarters. Everyone stood up once we got there and we had a hard time seeing anything. Beach is dirty, busy and not worth it. But it's Peru and it's interesting none the less.
The host was really friendly although does not speak English, non-Spanish speaking tourists to be aware. We managed to get by fine with minimal Spanish and hand gestures though so it was fine.
The hotel itself appeared relatively new so much nicer than the surrounding buildings.
The breakfast was awesome. Home cooked by the host, beautifully prepared table and so much food! This was a really nice experience but very warm temperature with only a fan. We felt bad for the host having to cook for us in the heat.
Great place, probably the best matress we got in Peru for this price range. The place looks pretty new. Breakfast included, also probably the best "included" we had out of 5 weeks in Peru. Located on a calm street, but close to the main area. 10 min walk from Cruz Del Sur bus station. My girlfriend was sick the day of check out, the host gently accepted for us to check out 1-2 hour extra. We only stayed one night but strongly recommend for your stay in Paracas.
We received such a warm welcome at Atenas Backpacker lodge from Valentin and his lovely family. The facilities were perfect, comfy bed and everything you needed, great location, close to everything and we receive great info for a day out on bikes round the national park. Valentin in particular made our trip to Peru even more special by sharing some stories with us over some pisco.Stories we will never forget! Thankyou thankyou! We wish you all the best
The property is immaculate, the rooms are very spacious, and the garden is beautiful. The staff is always smiling, very polite, and do their best to make your stay wonderful. The breakfast is exceptional, the activities are great, it's still an excellent hotel and could be a fantastic one (for me) if the negative points below were changed. Thank you so much to the entire staff, we really liked our stay.
Everything! Gorgeous place that should be 5 stars not 4! Originally booked this for one night before heading to a 5 star hotel, but this was 2000x times better so after one night in the five star hotel we cancelled our reservation and came back to La Hacienda! Such a relaxing place with incredible customer service and impeccable food!
Best place to stay in Paracas. And best Kokopelli location. It's a very social party hostel with a chill vibe. Easy to meet new people, since every night there is a different event. However, unlike most party hostels it's also a great day-time area for chilling or reading a book. Free kayaks are a plus.
the location was perfect, close to the beach and all the restaurants! The owner was such a friendly person, he really provided us with everything we could wish for. The rooms are super clean, comfortable and have a little cute balcony! We can only recommend this beautiful hotel in Paracas!
Hotel has everything you need in this place. Hotel restaurant is wonderful with great ceviche and pina colada. Personal was supernice. And the window view? Just breathtaking. If you are staying in this hotel, you do not need to go anywhere else (in Paracas) for the better.
Hotel is managed by someone who should not be in hospitality the rooms are hot there is no AC and when we asked for fans they got very upset and then told us not to ask for anything else. Really?????
If you don’t want guess in your hotel shut the place down
The place is really clean, and the bed is comfortable. Good breakfast compared to other places I’ve stayed. The staff was really nice, always have a big smile on his face and always tried his best to help me with my requests.
nice spot with great location in paracas. café attached was lovely and breakfast included. fan provided in the room. comfortable and clean and spacious. the staff are friendly and helpful.
The best hotel! Clean, great (hot) shower, close to the beach, comfortable bed. Very convenient for Peru Hop only 2 doors down from the meeting point. Wish we stayed longer!
Casa Paracas is a little gem. Modern, very central and near the piers from where the boat tours to the islands start. The breakfast on the roof was wonderful.
Bed was huge and very comfortable and the shower was the best I have had in 3 weeks of travelling. Convenient location for Paracas centre and the bus station.
Good value basic family run hotel in Paracas. Good location close to the beach. Very simple but good value for the area and accomodation. Very strong wi-fi!
