View from the room is fantastic, and walking distance to the castle, restaurant, and cafe is a convenience.

I enjoyed the beautiful views from the viewing towers on the nearby hills (Chelmiec, Borowa, Wzgorze Gedymina). But hiking in this area is not easy. The hills are not very high, but the paths are often very steep and difficult to climb.
Restaurants offer a good choice of craft beers. These are generally very good, on contrary to the standard beer production. I can recommend Coolturalna Moontownia (in the old mine area), Zlota Stacja (in the city center) and Jedlinka brewery.
At the beginning, I struggled figuring out how to pay for the city transport. In theory, you can buy tickets at the driver but on one occasion the driver was very rude at me when I did not have the exact change. The best possibility is to pay with card. It is easy but first you have to find a special small round black and yellow device, located usually at the middle door. The orange devices around the bus just stamp the paper tickets.
The old mine area is fancy and do not forget to visit it if you like industrial sights.

Excellent Castle, very interesting underground tour, good breakfast, good view of castle from our window. We walked to the Hotel through the forest from the bus stop which was lovely, However we got the no 8 bus at the gate directly back to the train station at Walbrzych. Should have got train from Wroclow to Walbrzych not Swiebodzice where we had to get the No 1 bus then walk through the gate and forest to the hotel.

the old town in Wałbrzych is very small and we thought we would be bored. However, there are very interesting things to see a little way away, Zamek Książ, the Palmiarnia and Stara Kopalnia, all easily accessible by bus. We also visited Jelenia Góra which has a bigger old town and is touristy, easy to access by train. We picked Wałbrzych as access to Jelenia Góra and Kłodsko are so easy. We ate at Pasaż which has Polish food. We also ate at Frettza Pizza and the sushi place, both good. I ate at Bar Pierożek, a milk bar near Pan Tadeusz, which was ace - but I always go on my own :)

Beautiful city, covering a few valleys and stretching rather far. It was a real jewel once. There are signs of decay which happened after WWII unfortunately. These may add to an overall romantic and mystic vibes of this place. The mountains are well worth a few days of hiking. But also the explorations of the hidden corners of the old city. The castle (the largest one amongst many others located here) is famous but way overcrowded: couldn't get to it. But I'm definitely going to revisit this charming place.
This hotel was an absolute dream. So close to the castle and just beautiful. It felt like you were staying in a fairytale cottage. Room was spacious, very clean and had a beautiful view. The hotel also had a restaurant downstairs which served delicious food. Staff was all very kind, friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast buffet was five stars, absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend people visiting Zamek Ksiaz or even just Poland stay here.
The hotel is one of three hotels within the castle - great for sightseeing purposes. The restaurant within the complex was pretty good too. The room was big, as was the bathroom. Big plus for providing parking for hotel guests. It was a pretty busy place with all the castle visitors and it's great to have parking right next to the room.
We loved the decor and how clean it was. It was very cosy and had everything we needed. Great shower. It's still in Wałbrzych, but walking distance to the centre of Szczawno Zdrój and its beautiful architecture.
The owner was very communicative and helpful. We had a great stay.
It is right next to the Castle Ksiaz- an excellent location with a parking (30zl per day) in front of the hotel, next to the booths selling tickets to visit the Castle. The one restaurant serving 3 different hotels (including Hotel Zamkowy) is conveniently located nearby.
Great breakfast for the price, excellent location for the trips around Lower Slezia, because the hotel is only 7 -10 minutes from the railway station Wałbrzych Centrum, also very close (max 5 minutes) to public transport.
Beautiful location, lovely staff. Hotel is old and atmospheric but clean and well equipped. We left an adapter and the staff were more than happy to send it to a Polish address which was wonderful.
Great place to stay near Ksiaz ! amazing location , very cozy and clean rooms , welcoming and helpful host! breakfast was delicious , so I highly recommend you to order that before your stay

The hotel is closed when i arrived , no one in the hotel and I also did not get the money back from the booking.com , Can not send the message to the customer service as well.
The hotel room was good nothing special. The Castle Książ and surroundings are beautiful. It was worth to get there even for one day. Very good breakfast!
