This was my second stay at the Bethlehem hotel. The room view overlooking the city is amazing. Especially morning sunrise. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Especially receptionist Jessica, who was super helpful, translating Arabic to English for me and giving good advise about the city.

This was a family-run hotel with modern amenities. Staff were exceptionally helpful, going out of their way to help with transport, recommendations, and services. The room was modern, clean, well designed, and very spacious. The building and story was unique and everyone in the family was professional and kind. Breakfast was delicious. Bethlehem is a welcoming and safe city to travel !
Bethlehem is a welcoming and safe city to travel ! It has some local attractions such as the nativity church, mosaic centre, Pro Terra Sancta community centre, market, or just bars and restaurants. The great thing about Bethlehem is that through Palestinian shared taxi services which act like buses you can reach all West Bank sites such as Jericho or Ramallah.

Overall, except the Nativity and St.
Overall, except the Nativity and St. Catherine church, and the areas surroundings Bethlehem which require a taxi (Shepard's field, St. Sava and St. Theodor), there is not much to see there. I initially went by mistake to an area which is a refugee camp, called Aida Camp. This was not the safest experience for a solo woman traveller especially if coming at the evening, if taxi dropping you at different location (at the checkpoint), provided incorrect information by the guesthouse staff in terms of safety, staff not at the guesthouse location at the time of arrival and upset that you are upset that you had to wait two hours in cold weather, in the evening at the doorsteps of the guesthouse. At last, I felt extremely unsafe, especially after the reception staff whom I had to wait for two hours outside at the doorsteps was "sensitive" when I was telling him how upset I was. Scary experience... Please be mindful when you book the guesthouse... Unless you look for a refugee camp experience...

We felt very safe. Plan to return.
We felt very safe. Plan to return. We found in Manger Square the best deals on olive wood. The people were so nice. Some things are made in China and others not. Did not like the kids coming up to us during dinner with gum expecting us to give them money. The restaurants did not either.

I went to Bethlehem during Christmas time, I took a city...
I went to Bethlehem during Christmas time, I took a city tour with a private guide recommended by the staf/ owners of the guest house and he went out of the way to please me on food requests that I had and he was very knowledgeable of the history and the different sites we visited. I couldn't have asked for better weather. The only advice I have is to better travel in slow season, Bethlehem had a sea of tourists and sometimes very difficult to see the important sites.
But the best choice was the Herodium Guest House, owned and managed by a local family, I could have stayed one month with them, very warm, helpful and attentive to your needs! I'll do it again in a heart bit.

Bethlehem was very disappointing.
Bethlehem was very disappointing.
There literally are two historical / religious places, and an insane amount of shops.
After a few hours spent there, I was genuinely stressed out - the amount of taxi drivers stopping me was ridiculous, the amount of sales people stopping me was insane. What’s even worse, they really use people’s kindness and good heart for their own profit.
I would absolutely not come back, nor recommend it.

We visited the Church of Nativity. It has many tourists.
We visited the Church of Nativity. It has many tourists. We were not able to enter the birthplace of Jesus. But it was comforting to note that this is the birthplace of the Savior of the world. Around the manger square there are many restaurants. You can choose what you like to eat. Some of the roads are narrow. It is quite difficult to navigate because of the traffic. It is better tow walk from the hotel. But then climbing up is a challenge for some who are identified as senior citizens. However, it is memorable.
The home is very charming. The history is incredible. Every room has a name and Nabil, explained the reason behind it. Our room was the Well room, with the original well. Very large and spacious. I loved the love both (Nabil and Mai) pour out to his guests. Breakfast is homemade cooking, eggs were the best. The service and care is amazing. Can't say enough good things about them. I highly recommend this Charming home. The bed is super comfortable and the pillows are fluffy. The best it has a spray bidet, which most hotels do not have.
Absolutely incredible stay. Staff are dedicated to your wellbeing and enjoyment. This was as much an eye opening and informative stay, as it was luxurious , beautiful and relaxing.
The unlimited breakfast is cooked to perfection. I cannot believe it was included in the bed price. Dinner is very reasonable considering too. The museum... Wow!
If you ever get the chance to visit bethlehem, you would seriously be missing out not to stay here. And I say this having stayed in the cheap accessible room...
Khader was a wonderful host and it was a pleasure meeting him and his father. The location is absolutely perfect in Bethlehem! The bed was really comfy too! I also enjoyed that I was able to walk to a lot of the significant sites and bus pick-ups which made for a much more immersive experience than being in a big hotel or having to take a lot of taxis. I highly recommend if you are fit and able to explore on foot.
We had a truly wonderful stay at the apartment! The hosts are really nice and kind people who offered us tea and cookies for Easter and helped us with anything concerning our stay in Bethlehem. The apartment has a great location close to Manger Square. It is big, cosy and clean and has a cute little balcony with a nice view over the city. We would definitely come back any time!
My friend and I loved our stay! The bedroom was huge and the interior architecture was beautiful. We were able to book last minute and ended up extending our stay.
Rozana and her family were so friendly and accommodating. Rozana gave us an amazing tour of Bethlehem as well as a fun photo shoot in traditional clothing. Thank you for everything!!!
The staff were exceptional and extremely accommodating. They guided us to almost anything we asked and they were extremely helpful, everyone spoke English too which is great. The view was just indescribable we would wake up and watch the sunrise over the hills on the balcony, we are definitely coming back here next time we are in Bethlehem!!
Joseph apartment is great value for the property. the host is amazing and the airport pickup was very convenient. we liked everything about the property. the privacy is great and there is a mini market right across the street. if you travel during winter time, it gets cold in Bethlehem! the apartment has heaters and space heaters.
Nice studio apartment with all the essentials, hot water, and good WiFi, right next to Manger Square and the most important sights in Bethlehem. Great communication with the host, who let me store my bag after checking out and insisted on giving me a bottle of water for the road.
Art pieces. A great hotel with a helpful staff, great breakfast, and excellent service. Great museum and bookstore full of informative reading to understand the suffering of the palestinian people. Like a museum with all the great Banksy. Misam was a great host!
My experience in this hotel was absolutely fabulous! Fuad’s father is such a kind person that truly made me feel like I was home. The hotel is very typical, old bricks and stuff but it is also modern and we sleep good. The view from my room was stunning.
Clean, comfortable and centrally located hotel with lovely staff and superb restaurant! The food is exceptional and very reasonably priced. Everyone on staff was so warm, friendly and naturally hospitable. It's the best hotel option in Bethleham by far!
There is one big positive with this hotel, and that's the location. It is very close to Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity. Bethlehem has a lot of steep hills, and with this hotel you don't have to walk as many.
Bathroom and sheets were clean.
Very nice apartment, very clean and well furnished, with great views of Bethlehem. Location is excellent. Breakfast very tasty and owners very friendly. I had a very confortable stay.
The breakfast was very good, and the location of the hotel was perfect. The staff were very helpful and courteous. All in all, it was a wonderful experience.
The hostel is exceptionally clean and centrally located. The owner provided a walking tour of Bethlehem and information on additional activities in the area.
This hotel is truly a treasure. So tastefully decorated, clean and spacious. Staff was super nice and helpful. We would recommend this place to everyone!
