Our accommodations were ample, the breakfast excellent, and the staff very helpful. Would stay there again.

The location was great for walking the Fisherman’s Trail - the staff were amazing and very helpful. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Loved sitting out by the pool array to read and relax. The breakfast included was very generous and tasty. The property is great value for the stay.

We really loved to stay in Herdade Monte do Sol . We stayed for three weeks !
The apartment is big, the view is exceptional. Very calm and quiet, the air is fresh and amazing. In the night you hear the sound of frogs , so lovely. There are several peackocks, we so enjoyed their beauty....
We love birds, and so it was lovely for us to hear the birds twittering and singing all day long.
It was wintertime when we stayed here ( February) we were surprised to see how lush green was the whole place , we went for walks on the poperty, it is big ! and beautiful ! there were flowers everywhere, and flowering trees !
Hens and roosters , very healthy looking. Horses, goats , friendly dogs and cats. ( they did not come into the house , if you did not want them to )
The host family is very very friendly, they helped us with everything. ( for instance Sofia and Daniela arranged for a massage therapist, when one of us hurt their back. )
Sofia even offered to wash our laundry, very much appreciated!
Her partner ( I cant spell his name) gave us very good Portuguese wine to try...
Everyone was very caring.
Thank you so much !
We were served beautiful and rich breakfast to our apartment every morning.
The apartment was cleaned every day ! Fresh towels and bedding every few days....
Cleaner ladies very friendly and unintruive too..
And the bed is comfortable ( very important for me )
When my daughter's children came to visit us, they always made a lot of noise, but they were completely accepted.
It made our stay so relaxed . Thank you again !
I really really loved the view ... Even on the days when it was rainy and windy and cold . the view was so beautiful ....
Amazing sunsets to watch !
I would definitely recommend this beautiful place to everyone. And if we come back to this area, we will surely stay here again.

I am afraid of dogs and owner had said there were dogs, but she allowed a dog access to our “private” bedroom… it was very uncomfortable, so we left and she successfully re-sold our room.

Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. In the evening, in Aljezur, always book ahead a table.

A magical small village with tiny streets and houses, nice restaurants The river is full of life, edpecially dozens of turtles sun bathing. the beaches are close and the castle above the city gives a nice overview although it is just a ruin.
nice massage at “em boas maos“ at the other side of the river in the new part of town.
there is also a nice walkway east of the castle directly below with benches to rest and look over the whole village and countryside.

We hope to return.
We hope to return. The presence of an active cultural life was important for us. We felt like we were in a town and region alive and not just a tourist setting.
By the way, asking these questions in English also, would be helpful.

What I liked is that it is truly a get away from the busier touristy parts of Portugal. What I didn't like is that google maps has its location for a national park located in the middle of a farm that has sand on the surrounding roads that are easy to get stuck in.

If you want to explore the west coast of Portugal Aljezur is a good choice for a stop over. We travelled from the south and beaches we visited on our way were spectacular. Going North this morning it was equally as good.
Emmanuel showed me the place and was extremely friendly and helpful. Answered questions I had and even came to the rescue with a phone charger when I lost mine. The hotel consists of different rooms (mine had a balcony), a shared kitchen, living room, and bathrooms. Everything is clean and there is plenty of room. It’s a very short walk to several restaurants by the church, which is one of the central points in town.
This is one of the best places we have stayed in Portugal while doing the Rota Vicentina. We got a private room with bathroom for an incredible price!!! We are actually going to stay 2 more nights. Need a break/rest days from trail. Free laundry. Super affordable. Highly recommend. We are 2 friends in 40s and 50s. Free coffee and tea. Excellent rooftop terrace. Great shower. Excellent location. Great hangout space.
Everything was just perfect. Very nicely, tasteful accomodated room with beautiful bathroom. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfast is lovingly prepared from Marta. The surroundings (garden, pool) are green and beautiful as well (carefully taken care of from the hosts).
Next time we come to Portugal we would be very happy to stay at HQN again, thank you:)
Fantastic space. Ideal for large families or groups. The setting is quite comfortable and two families can almost have independent stay, while sharing the common spaces. Location is awesome, very close to Praia da Amoreira, but also to a few smaller beached nearby. The decoration, although simple, makes the space even more cozy. Clearly done with care.
A paradisiacal accommodation that offers everything you could want from a holiday in Portugal! Clean, quiet, beautifully furnished and top equipped. This is the second time we have stayed here and we would definitely come back again. Thanks to Alex, Michelle and everyone who made it possible for us to have a great holiday.
It is an eclectic & charming little hotel in a quiet area of Aljezur. It was a delightful stop on this section of our Rota Vicentina journey.
My husband & I were warmly welcomed by staff and they kindly allowed us to keep our bags for several hours before check-in. We liked it enough to stay a second night.
The property is designed beautifully and tastefully. The hotel, situated in a park setting, allows for deep relaxation. The pool area was very enjoyable. The staff was always gracious. I was appreciative to find a small luxury hotel in that area of Portugal.
The breakfast was good. Fresh fruits and bread were available every morning. There's a very nice beach not so far from the hotel.
The room has a nice balcony where you can enjoy the sunset.
Everyone is very kind and the hotel very clean.
Breakfast had a wide variety
Nicely decorated spacious room with balcony
Rennovated bathroom with nice shower
Good bathroom amenities
Beds were comfortable
Quite a few beaches & restaurants nearby
Great location near lots of restaurants and cafes. Lovely room with balcony, modern bathroom, just a bit tight to get into!! Shared kitchen was great, to have access to a fridge.
Good location in between old and newer part of town
Good and generous served breakfast
The hotel is rather old fashioned, but everything works well (do not expect a 4 star luxury)
Helpful, friendly staff.
Simple but attractive room decor, no TV.
Good breakfast,
Free tea/coffee/water available.
Short walk to nearby bars & restaurants.
Good WIFI.
fireplace, host, flexibility of host.
it is the second time we are staying in this hotel during our trip to Portugal
Many friendly animals are leaving in the hotel.
Nicely located in a small holiday village above the coast. Just a short walk and crossing of the river to reach the nearest beach. Lot of untouched nature around.
