Amazing location, though it is pretty remote and a good drive on a very twisty road. But well worth it. The views are amazing and the quiet. We did not get to experience the pool due to weather. But we did go and do the night tour of petroglyphs with guide Marco and it was worth the drive. Rita was amazing. She treated us like family and upon our return from the tour provided us with a beautiful charcuterie board and soup for the soul. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She just wanted her guests to be happy and well cared for. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choices. We will definitely return if in the area again.

Special place with lovely host and staff. Such a charming and cozy house with an excellent home cooked meal and breakfast. Bed and sheets were very comfortable and everything was spotless. The visit to the rock drawings and Ana’s explanation was worth coming out to Castelo Rodrigo alone. It was really a special experience. Thank you Ana and team for your hospitality. 100% recommend!

It is modern, fresh, beautifully renovated. The kitchen is fully functional, if one desires to stay for a while. Best shower I've had in ages - large with plenty of hot water. Location is central. Quiet, clean, comfortable.

First, it’s a beautiful historic property that has been modernized. The bathrooms and kitchen were very nice and well equipped. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. The best part was being welcomed by Delfina and her husband when we arrived. They were gracious hosts who explained everything carefully and even gave us a glass of port. They obviously care about the property and are proud of it. They also made dinner reservations on our behalf at a very nice restaurant. It was a great choice for a stay.
