We loved the cozy privacy and rustic setting with a captivating view both during the day of the valley and at night of a star studded sky. A living room with a common adjoined kitchen and dining room space giving way into separate bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, complete with screened windows and granite stones walls, what more could one ask for. The terraced yard occupied by an ancient stone corn granary, acts as a companion that invites the guest to the past.
Selina Gerês has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Geres.

Everything. Literally the best hostel I have ever experienced. The staff, the people that were staying there, the facilities, etc…
I am so grateful for the experience and will visit again. Also recommend to many people.

We enjoyed our 4 days here. The room was clean (and it was cleaned daily). The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. It rained a lot, and we made good use of the common area downstairs with a fireplace. The owner (Armando) was extremely helpful. He never made us feel rushed, and he gave us a lot of information. We couldn’t have asked for better service. The rest of the staff was friendly and efficient. We would definitely stay here again.
Located between the city of Braga and the Gerês Mountain Range, this luxurious hotel is a former Cistercian Monastery of the XII century. Facilities include an outdoor pool and a tennis court.

Apart from the staff, the whole experience was a mess.

A peaceful, quiet little village among stunning mountains...
A peaceful, quiet little village among stunning mountains and with lovely golden light. The Casa is just right. Quite small, but with everything one needs. We spent most evening sitting outside watching the sun go down, to the sound of sheep bells tinkling.
We ate the Cafe Turismo, which was great. Bosk Cafe across the road served nice coffee.
