It was right in the middle of the city. You could walk to half a dozen restaurants. One restaurant across the street another next-door.

This is another "contact-less" guesthouse with no resident staff. I got in on my own via a code to the outside door and my room. The kitchen area was spectacular with all the latest equipment and appointments. I had a nice view over the water and nearby volcano. The room was spartan but efficient and very clean. The (non-resident) owner - manager arranged a taxi for me for early morning ride to the airport.
Faial Marina Apartments 1 is located in Horta, in front of the marina and with views over the Atlantic Ocean. Boat connections with other Azorean Island are available within a 5-minute walk.

Very nicely designed house. Has everything you need if you want to cook. There is a little bakery around the corner. Kayaks to use if you wish. Tiago walked us to the accommodation from the Naturalist base and gave us loads of recommendations for things to do in Faial which was extremely helpful and allowed us to get the most from our short stay.
