I loved the pool area with chairs and umbrellas, wonderful view, and bar service of a portotonic (first time!) served with a smile. The pool was lovely to swim in after a long, hot day. And the staff were so very nice! We also really enjoyed walking down to the river on the very steep path among the vines.
I also really appreciated the room change in the last minute so I could be next to my friends. Exceptional service!

Room was very specious, very nice country house design. View of the property was amazing especially for sunset. Host was super kind, she replied many questions to plan out trip instantly before our stay.
If I haf to have one sentence comment for this property, it is much better than the photos on the booking. I definitely suggest this place to stay.

Our stay at Loivos da Ribeira was like travelling home to see old family. Our hosts Mario and Maria were brilliant and treated us like family. The peaceful setting and surrounding of the town was perfect and there is a beautiful walk into town which is easy to find. Located not far off the Douro trail, I would certainly recommend staying here. They have also got a self contained unit which can sleep up to 6 if you are travelling with a family.
