Gorgeous place to stay, inside and out, in a quiet and remote village for relaxation with friends or family. Great retreat space for small groups and events, or a cozy getaway for couples. Situated just outside of Chavez and near the Spanish border, this is a perfect jumping-off point for journeys around northern Portugal, and seems to be a hub of activity around the town, especially the restaurant. The restaurant was lovely and had huge portions of regional cuisine. The staff is incredibly nice, and the proprietor is a genial host. Just a great slice of life in northern Portugal.
