Our large room on the third floor had a little terrace with a view of a mountainside. We loved sitting and listening to the variety of birds, even a cuckoo! I did morning yoga in a special meditation room. They also had a kids play area, pool table/game area and quiet desk - all indoors with nature view. The heated outdoor pool with massaging jets was incredible after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was excellent with great views from large windows. The beds were comfy and the room temperature control was very responsive. The staff were so courteous and helpful. They gave us a 20% off voucher for the Quinta Vale de Aldeia which led us to take their marvelous tour and tasting. There aren't enough stars for this hotel.

Marisa is an incredible host. The property was excellent, clean and comfortable. She greeted us with a smile and shared her knowledge of the history of Marialva. Her welcoming demeanor and warmth were a a pleasant surprise. Her warm breakfast was incredible and her tour of the cheese museum was well received. I would recommend a visit to this sleepy town.
