The property had a beautiful view of the vineyards and the hilltops but I wouldn’t say this was a 5 star hotel by any means. The staff were always super nice which made it nice!
Located a 15-minute walk from the center of Vila Real, Residencial Montanhês features a bar and a restaurant. Wi-Fi and parking, the latter when available, are free.

Vila Marim Country Houses was an excellent place to stay at while in the Douro Valley The bedrooms were very comfortable and had great views over the vineyards. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly.
