He is an incredible cook and will make dinners for you for an extra cost— it’s a very reasonable price, well worth it and the meals far exceeded our expectations. Some of the best food we had on the island. He’s a great host, very kind, and makes the most delicious food! Very friendly cute dog on property plus some bunnies and goats if you like animals. Overall very wonderful experience would definitely stay here again if we come back!

This house is equipped with everything! Nice glassware, good cooking set, professional hairdryer, iron, extra blankets and clean sheets. Amazing ocean view and great terrace (not equipped yet, but they have a hummock!) Nice location in quiet Biscoitos, 25-30 mins drive and you are at any other point of the island.

The breakfast was excellent and served beautifully on our patio, the rooms were spacious and thoughtfully designed (we slept so well!), and the setting was absolutely beautiful (especially the pool surrounded by forest, which is much more beautiful and serene than you can tell from the pictures). Raquel also arranged a lovely wine tasting for us of their wine produced on site, and it was wonderful visiting the natural pools nearby. We wished we'd booked a longer stay.

Hotel Ilha is a great place for so many reasons. Its location is perfect for visiting Angra, but even more importantly, the reception staff is exceptional; friendly, welcoming, helpful and fluent in English. Also, the hotel could not be any cleaner, whether its your room, common places or the very nice breakfast room, everything is immaculate. A very nice, simple breakfast of fresh local breads, rolls, cereals, yogurts and jams as well as coffees and teas are put out daily. Loved the place and hope to stay again any time.
