An absolute gem! A perfect way to end our Camino!
The experience is hard to describe. The house is family run and filled with so much history and love. The grounds are magical offering a chance to escape and relax before jumping back into the real word.
Lots to do in the surrounding area (the Duoro River; Shrine to our Lady of Remedies)
And, for those who didn’t get gifts for friends at home a lovely boutique — scarfs and Port made from their grapes.

The owner of the hotel is lovely and goes out of her way to make sure everything is clean and in order. She made us wonderful recommendations at a local restaurant—it was fabulous! She was helpful in so many ways and very interesting to talk with about the history of the house and the area, places to go for day trips, etc. She made us a very special breakfast every morning. What a nice way to start our day!

This was a beautiful property. With an amazing pool and view of the valley. The accommodations were perfect with a clean apartment, AC if needed however, the cool breeze at night was enough for our family.  I cannot say enough great things about the host and his son. They were in contact with me even before my arrival. They greeted us with a glass of their homemade port wine and were dedicated to making our stay as pleasant as can be. They gave us amazing dinner reservations in town. Lamego is a beautiful village with an old history yet many great dining options and is only 10 mins outside of the more tourist areas. If you are even looking at this location, please look no further and book your stay you will not regret it. The pool is big and extremely clean and well-maintained- you will feel like you are at a high end resort -there’s plenty of seating and it is not busy or over packed. It is very private and at night you can enjoy a glass of wine under the star studded sky. we will definitely be back as this was one of the best stays in Portugal during our two week visit!
