Virtually everything, but particularly the exceptional hospitality. I arrived at late night and was welcomed by the lady-owner and her son who spoke excellent English and translated everything to his mother. Despite the late hours, they treated me with a hot drink and joined me for a lovely conversation. The room was simple, but extremely clean and convenient. The bathroom was shared with another room and was also perfectly nice and clean. I was alone in the pension and could use it as much as I want. In the morning, I was surprisingly welcomed with the complementary hot breakfast. My car was parked inside the closed yard, so I felt there very safe. The location of the property is extremely convenient for those, who (as myself) are going to use the direct ferry boat Isaccea-Orlovka from Romania to Ukraine.

When we 1st seen the hotel idea, we... we were like... Wow! Something nice!!! And, except that it was locate inside a gravel quarry - when a truck was passing by it felt like Sahara - and near a ferry departure point (quite noisy in the day but not quite disturbing), location paid off. The evening and night view over Old Danube is wonderful. With a glass of white Macin (Sarica Niculitel) wine is almost perfect. Especially when everybody went to sleep and is just you, the stars, the willows and Old Danube.

The location is very good and you get a view of the "mountains". The staff was very very nice, which is always great. The food we had in the evening was very good and large portions - homemade meal. It was a fixed menu. We also had a traditional breakfast, also large portions and good food. There was a big private parking, so that was also very useful - included in the price. We only spent one night and arrived in the evening. All in all it was a nice experience and very good for the price.
