You can visit Roșia Montană Area (30 min), Arieșeni Area (1 hour), Scărișoara Glacier (1 hour by car), Văii Morilor Gorges or Albac Gorges. Cimpeni is a small city very is Apuseni mountains. I visited because a great event from Muntele Gaina- a traditional summer event old from 15-th century, witch is dedicated to young girls who want to get married. The city was a know as a place of gold seekers in the river of Aries. Also, is know as capital of 'Tara Motilor' a traditional area in Transilvania. The city is not far from Arieseni, Vartop and Garda (approx.. 30/40 km far) famous for winter sports in Romania. Also Scarisoara cave is close (less the 20 km far). As point of interest.. I visited the old city centre, and Avram Iancu museum.MonicaRomania
