Such a quiet and unique location off the Transfagarasan road - which is a great place to see some European Brown Bears. Staff were lovely and friendly (especially the dogs) - the room was on the smaller side, but super comfortable and well designed - the bathroom especially! We also had a lovely balcony overlooking the forest.

The princely court ruins and St Nicholas church are not to be missed. The centre is great for walking around and the market is a great place to grab a snack. We liked the Municipal museum too. Great private parking. There is a restaurant that operated in the afternoon and evening, but we didn't eat there. We had the free breakfast which was fine. Our room was small but still had the feeling of spaciousness. We took the room with a balcony which looks over the garden and the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful.
