The staff were helpful and very pleasant. We enjoyed having the dogs around and they were never a nuisance. We liked being right on a long sandy beach. The friendly atmosphere made meeting other vacationers easy and fun.

EVERYTHING and EVERYONE..
We had reservations at Bakers Suites to begin with but they lost our reservation two weeks before our vacation so thankfully we were able to book a room last minute at the Commodore and what a blessing. The Commodore Suites is fabulous, the staff Amazing, a full grocery/liquor store right below us with a fabulous buffet every day, all day with fantastic food and great prices. Perfect location with a view of the ocean on one end and the mountains on the other end.
Did I mention the rooftop pool with a treadmill in it. So fun.
Honestly, I can’t say enough good about the Commodore.

Loved , loved, loved it! Ocean front ..beautiful clean room with kitchen. Nice patio. Staff comes in and washes your dishes and makes bed. Location great, could rent a car but we took buses each day for 1.50 to 2.00 each way . Friendly staff, helpful with directions. Highly recommend .

Everything is in walking distance - a great market for groceries, lots of restaurants, and several boat charter companies. We didn't rent a car, and I'm so glad we didn't, taxis are great for venturing out. Walk to the Point by Simpson Bay Resort ( practically next door) and enjoy the sunset and a cocktail - its so beautiful. The bonfire at Buccaneer Bar ( also next door) on weekends is so much fun- and they have good food and drinks at reasonable prices.TanyaUnited States of America - 10Scored 10

Is a lovely bay with a long white sandy beach, the water is turquoise, but due to the sand being very thin the water is quite milky, resulting in poor visibility under water, still super enjoyable if you want to relax and read by the sea.

We had booked an ocean-view room and were given one... but...
We had booked an ocean-view room and were given one... but it was on the lowest level and we mostly saw lawn and trees rather than ocean. Thankfully they moved us to a higher floor and that made a huge difference in our stay. The hotel location is great with free parking. It has everything you need at a resort - good restaurants, a spa, activities onsite and more. We had a rental car that was perfect to sightsee for three days around the island. There is no lack of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and spas anywhere on this island! Best area to stay when visiting SXM, honesty the night life, food , people its just the perfect location to be in! Day or night Simpson Bay is really just amazing. Close to Beach areas as well , safe to walk to and from any hotel.

The pool was amazing, you could just walk in and find a nice spot for sunbathing either sides, so you would not miss the sun in any case. Also, you could just swim up to the the whirlpool by the sea, which was just amazing. In the evening, the poolt was illuminated and gas fires created really lovely accent.

The iguanas that hang out on the rocks beside the sea were interesting to see as well (they didn’t try to actually come into the pool area thankfully!) The sunset view from the room was good as well. The place was clean and comfortable.
