Most importantly the friendliness and easy going vibe of the couple who owns and run the place. I personally enjoy having contact with people who feel real instead of an over zealous staff. You can rent a bike next door which makes it really easy upon departure when you have to return the bike.

lovely aesthetic. hidden away from main road. really good customer service. looks just like the pictures. kitchen was a big plus. property was very clean on arrival. amazing aircon. there were citronella incense, bug killing spray and an outdoor fan which definitely helped get rid of most of the insects. there is a moped hire place with good bikes and good prices very close by called pum’s which was really convenient for when we first arrived. there’s also a cat and a dog that tend to come by in the evening which was really sweet (had collars, and no fleas). the property had several candles and incense sticks to use which was really lovely in the evening. bed was very comfortable. good water pressure. big fridge/freezer. good cooking facilities.

"Family" room on the beach had super nice beach view, strong aircon and WiFi, came with mat (appreciated) and broom and other essentials. We were there for about 20 hours starting about 4pm and didn't hear ANY music or other sounds, just lovely ocean waves (and occasional bark from many dogs that live on the beach). Contrast that with the northern Thong Nai Pan beach, which unfortunately has annoying loud live and recorded music. Soft white sand beach.
