Quiet out of the way spot with about 20 bungalows. We had a stand alone unit with a beach view. It wasn't too busy, so at times it was just us on the beach, or at the tables on the sand having a drink.
The restaurant food was better than I expected. Prices are a little higher that town. Everything needs to be trucked in, about a 30 minute trip, and this likely adds to the cost.
No hot water first thing in the morning, but plenty for the rest of the day as the weather heats up.
There was a nice breeze for most of the time we were there.
Did a little beach combing. Lots of soldier crabs and star fish in the shallows.

This hostel has a good vibe and fun activities. The facilities were cleaned regularly and plenty of toilets and showers for the amount of rooms. Pool is also a nice dip if you don’t want to go to the beach or want to stay closer to the property!

The room was cosy and the staff was nice. The location is good as it is close to some restaurants near the beach and you can walk all the way to ao nang or the night market.
The Palace Aonang Resort is located about a 5-minute walk to Ao Nang beach. It offers free Wi-Fi, parking and an outdoor pool with views of the mountain.

VERY close to the beach, like a 2 minute walk. So you can cool off right there. It’s also an area with a lot of shops so everything you need is right there
It depends what you are looking for. After Cambodia, the relative coolness of the beach location was very pleasant.
Most of the the other guests had mopeds, and were off to other locations during the day.
Our choice was to stick around and relax at the property.
