Charming small town, slightly off the tourist beaten track, this isn’t a bad thing! Plenty of temples to visit. Relatively easy to walk to all the main sights. People are very friendly. Some lovely places to eat in the town. There is a rooftop bar at one of the hostels which is a real hidden gem.

You don’t need more than 2 days here.
You don’t need more than 2 days here. We took the train from Bangkok and arrived around 3pm. Checked into our hotel and hung out. Then the next day we did a full day tour which our host set up for us and then we left the following day. It was the right amount of time because there’s not that much to do here.

I take photographs of wildlife, monkeys and monks, temples and people. So Phetchaburi kept me occupied for 16 days - I can't understand why so few people get off the train. It is just the right size to walk around, although Thanyachatra is just off a busy road that is not very easy to cross (but no traffic nose at the hotel). The locals are wonderful and once they had got used to seeing me around, I found that those who spoke English were keen to chat and helpful. The town is full of wonderful schools and happy, smiling and beautifully turned out children and teenagers.

Me and my wife reached the property at 2:30 am at night.
Me and my wife reached the property at 2:30 am at night. We were shocked to know It was not a hotel rather it was some club. Only one security guard was their..
He refused us the entry in the club. We called some manager of the property after taking contact details from the security guard.. he refused that we don’t have any booking anywhere. WE TOLD HIM OUR BOOKING DETAILS OF BOOKING.COM and requested him to understand our situation as I was accompanied with my wife and 2 year daughter. Where will I go? Ultimately, he refused and asked us to leave the premises.
We requested our taxi driver to help us their after in finding some other room.
Can u imagine such a horrible incident.
The hostess was impeccable. Relentlessly kind, hospitable and helpful. She gave good advice, had free bicycles to borrow and the included breakfast was very nice. The garden is a nice outdoor space with plenty of shade and visiting birds. The room was spotless, fresh water every day. The location is great and quiet but because of the bicycles everything is in reach. She even arranged the taxi back to the station. All in all a perfect experience, will definitely come back again if we get the chance.
The Guesthouse is a traditional old fashioned Thai House on stilts. the upstairs seating area was a great place to have a drink of an evening as Phetchaburi does not have a booming nightlife but other travellers did the same and we soon got chatting. The Lady who runs the Guesthouse is very friendly, very helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. I was also very pleasantly surprised that a breakfast was included in the price which I already felt was a bargain
We loved staying in this guesthouse. It has a perfect location, great common terrace, comfortable room and really nice and helpful staff. Phetchaburi is so beautiful and there are so many things to see - I think it should be a must-stop for everyone. The staff organized a tour with a Tuktuk for us; it was amazing! We also loved the night market and the fact that you can walk around the beautiful town easily. We would love to come back and explore more.
This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited. Situated close to the beach, away from the noisy center of Hua Hin.
Brand new and with a wonderful architecture, every detail is thought of, both in the rooms, the common areas and not at least outside. There are so many small architectural details you will enjoy, the food is excellent and a very, very nice staff.
If a place deserves 10 out of 10, this is the place!
I came to Phetchburi out of curiosity and I fell in love. it's s a very old-thailand style, there are beautiful caves and mountains to explore. This is Best Hostel to stay in, the hosts are very very helpful, recommending places to eat or to go explore. It's also near Phranakhonkhiri which is the most amazing park I've ever seen and Wat Mahatat, which is the most beautiful temple in the whole Thailand.
The lady in charge was extremely nice and accommodating. We needed a vegetarian breakfast before we left early in the morning at 7:30 am. She was kind enough to go get the required materials for the same. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy. The bathrooms were well clean and well maintained as well.
This will definitely be my go-to place for staying the next time I am in Phetchaburi.
The location is excellent for visiting the town and its surroundings. The hotel is pleasent and clean, very well aired too. The room I got was very large, the bathroom was big enough, both were clean and there was warm water at any time. The staff went the extra mile to help me organize several local visits and also my trip to Huan Hin. There is a convenient restaurant next door.
We could use bikes for free, which was very pleasant to explore the city and environment (the cave is an absolute must, only 10 minutes away by bike). The owner was super helpful (ea with providing a taxi). The rooms are big and clean and have very good facilities (mini bar with snacks at super reasonable prices).
The hotel is basically a beautiful villa with garden. It has an old european style architecture, which gives the place a stylish and relaxed atmosphere. The facilities in our room (the one located near the river) and bath room were O.K.
We weee really comfortable at this hotel. Large room, very light as full wall windows, comfy bed and good bathroom.
The lady on receipt was lovely and very welcoming.
A breakfast of toast, biscuits, tea and coffee was a bonus.
The staff are so awesome. The nicest people so far on my trip. So helpful. Borrowing bikes and riding around town to the summer palace and the caves was really nice and relaxing after time spent in Bangkok.
The staff are really friendly and hospitable. Its located very close to the summer palace. It definitely has one of the best views in Thailand.
Definitely visit this province and stay at this hostel.
Location, not too far from city center, surrounded with many places to visit. Very friendly and informative staff. Good rooftop view. And free bicycle rental for guests.
location is in walking distance to tourist attractions, staff is very nice, polite with good recommendation for local food and a must to do in this area.
