The accommodation was perfect, a really welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, the bungalows were small but also very comfortable. Everything was clean, not luxurious but everything we needed. The host was super helpful and friendly and gave us mango every morning (best mango we ever had!!)

Michael bent over backwards to help us out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we had stayed longer!
Located in Sam Roi Yot, a few steps from Sam Roi Yot Beach, Beach Box at Pran provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a terrace.
Arrive at Lungcha homestay in the afternoon. Make a boat trip at sunset (starting point directly in front of the homestay). The lake with thousands of lotus flowers and birds is phantastic. They offer a 150.- baht dinner in Thai style (a bit oily, but good and plenty). Next morning do another sunrise trip: it is very different, because the light is different, there are more birds, the lotus flowers are open, the atmosphere is just magic. Costs 500,- baht for the boat (takes up to four people). Breakfast at Lungcha included and check out. There is not much to do or see near the homestay, perhaps you can stroll to the Ranger IV station in about 20 min, there is a small stripe of beach and access to the lake.

I rented a scooter to visit the park 2 days.
The first day I visited the Phraya Nakhon Cave. It was definitely one of the highlights. Even the walk was nice, especially the first climb with nice views over the sea. I arrived before 10:00 in the cave, the perfect time to have the best sunlight.
The second day I made a tour around the park (about 120 km) and visited nearly all indicated places: the Sam, Phraya Beach (nothing special), the Khao Daeng with boat tour (nice), Khao Daeng View Point (a difficult and sometimes steep climb, but with a wonderful view), and the Lotus Pound (very nice but not the best season to see the blooming lotus. Returning I took road 1021 where you can have beautiful sunset over the wetlands.

The sandy beach is very pleasant and gives an opportunity to observe/interact with local people involved in various types of fishing.
Samroiyod National Park is a must, particularly the Phraya Nakhon Cave with the small shrine inside (trail is steep though, requires a good physical condition). Cheap seafood is available everywhere in the village, by the beach.

A glorious golden sandy bay, unspoiled by mass tourism, yet has several good quality hotels for every budget. Several restaurants, a few beach bars giving the bay an overall almost tropical island feel. This must have been how Pattaya was before mass tourism and concrete development spoiled its natural charm. Let's hope it doesn't happen here.

Great beachfront suitable for long walks.
Great beachfront suitable for long walks.
Excellent choice of local restaurants.
Easy to access the hire of bikes, motorcycles, sidecar combos and cars.
Quiet, peaceful and relaxing.
Great selection of properties to stay in.
There’s even a local 9 hole golf course that needs a bit of TLC but is nevertheless a good test.

Beautiful area, Mountains (Sam Roi Yod = 300 Peaks) close to the Ocean. Large beaches. Not too much tourism. Restaurants priced fairly. Local people much more friendly than in other more crowded parts of the country.
It is a most unusual place I have ever stayed at. After staying there, I now know why it is called 'Castle'. It is in a positive kind of way eccentric and exciting.
The pool is great, the bedrooms comfortable, the house has everything from a well-equipped kitchen to a pool table. And the beautiful beach in Sam Roi Yot is just a kilometer down the road. The hosts, when contacted by phone are very friendly and supportive.
Highly recommended for travelers who are looking for a place that is truly out of the ordinary.
Mok and Rick are wonderful, they know how to make guests feel welcome, and they make delicious meals and drinks (we loved their soups, pork larb and fruity cocktails). They showed us around and provided us with valuable tips for our visit to the national park.
We had a wonderful stay here, and thus stayed there one night longer. The bungalow is very well built and spacious, it even had a nice swing chair to enjoy the view. Last but not least, we enjoyed the company and charm of their rescued dogs.
The bungalow was exactly what I had imagined. Waking up with a view, on the mountain, on the water, very relaxing. The hosts were super kind and helpful, on demand they can arrange a taxi service to the nearest train station. Scooter rental for the day to visit the National Park or go to the beach. Have your coffee in the morning while chatting by the water. I really recommend this place to stay at least 2 nights. A great experience for me, I totally recommend and would go again.
Nice, quiet and cozy place next to the national park. Hosts where very friendly, helpful and gave us a lot of infos about the surroundings. They have a dog rescue there and the dogs are amazing. We were there for one night and had lunch + cocktails, which we can really recommend. Will come back again for sure! Thanks a lot :)
We came from Bangkok for a weekend and were looking for a place to stay, and it was a big success that we decided to check out Minitel. Reason - rooms are spacious, the price is way better than in other options, and the beach is the best that you can find. We can call it almost private to the hotel.
Amazingly new and clean rooms at the end of a mostly quiet alley just a 2 minute walk from the beach. Aircon powerful even for March hot season. WiFi good once I was able to get the password (see below). Garden environment was nice. Rooms surrounded mostly by empty fields.
This kid friendly hotel right next to the beach is a great place to return to. The family room we'd occupied this time was spacious and friendly - probably the bathrooms could do with a make-over. A great base to just hang back and relax or explore the national parks nearby.
Good situation in Sam Roi Yot. We loved the village and surroundings. The People at the resort tried to help us but not all of them spoke English well and where up to date with information and possibillities in the surroundings.
But clean, good location and good room
The location is perfect, steps from the beach yet on a quiet side road. The owners and staff are lovely people and very helpful. The room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. They have good bikes & scooters for rent.
Hotel was very modern and clean.
All the staff were really friendly.
All the facilities weee amazing.
The beds were really comfortable.
This was one of the best stays on our road trip from Bangkok.
Great staff and service. Right across from the beach and close to good restaurants. We have stayed here before and will be coming back next school holidays. My 8 year old son adores the pool here.
The staff were fantastic with every request and were able to help organise all the tours of the national park. The resort had all the facilities we needed and I would recommend the stay here
We had a fantastic stay at Dolphin Bay Resort. it’s not the newest resort but the facilities are great for families and the staff are so accommodating.
