The lady at the front was very nice as we checked in late afternoon. She gave us free coffee and snacks which was nice. The room was large and had a balcony. We stayed for one night. The lady arranged for taxi for Langkawi ferry for next day. It was our least expensive room for our trip and everything was perfect. Satun is a nice town and the hotel is in central location as we walked towards the main mosque and the Satun national museum in the evening. There is a great restaurant Prikthai next door to the hotel that is very good. We ate there and the food was super good. Unfortunately we ran out of Thai money to order and of the fantastic deserts they were also selling.

Good place to stay with your family on your vacation.
Good place to stay with your family on your vacation. Good eating place around the area such as: Papaya Mom, Rim Lay Kitchen & Restaurant, Nava Seafood, Bara Roti and few other restaurants. You can also go to Koh Lipe for the stay and some other water activities.

We just stayed here for a night and took the ferry to Koh Lipe the next day. The part of town immediately surrounding the hotel was dead at night. A 7-11 is close, as well as 4 street vendors selling some food.

Unlike the bustling Hat Yai city.
Unlike the bustling Hat Yai city. Satun can be bustling on weekend mornings especially near the wet market areas. Otherwise, it can be very peaceful as early as 8 in the evening with less traffics.
You'll only see many tourists at Pak Bara pier as there is where they their speedboats to Koh Lipe, Koh Tarutao and Koh Adang.
The best hotel in this area that not near the beach. Clean and well maintained with large pool enough for everyone. The pool is 1.3m deep. The pool is clean and maintained regularly. Beware! Don't let your baby play around the pool because there no life guard around. The design and styling of this hotel is great, not an eyesore at all. Suitable for family with kids. Free coffee and snack available. The smoking area is quite relaxing and the room also large.
We stayed at the Bara Bara because we were en-route to Koh Lipe, it was a nice break from a day of traveling. The hotel was squeaky clean and modern with a beautiful pool in the courtyard. Nearby is the Barista coffee shop/restaurant which was convenient for our dinner. The staff was exceptionally helpful and drove us to the Pak Bara Pier on the day we checked out. I highly recommend staying at Bara Bara- you can't beat it for the price!
P'Prach and his family welcomed me like I'm one of his own. They introduced me to other lovely locals too. P'Prach isn't just an owner but also a proud Satun local who endeavours to revitalise this city with his interest in the arts and films. If you wish to know this town, this hostel is the place to stay. And be sure to stay more than a night too!
500m from the pier. Very clean and tidy room. Staff were very helpful and will go out of there way for you. The management allowed us to leave our car on the property whilst we went away to Koh Lipe. They even dropped us off and collected us from the pier.
the owner went above and beyond - service was beyond our expectations- he played the piano for dinner and breakfast - we really felt like we were part of their family or a long lost friend - we recommend this trip for anyone going to Thailand
Great guesthouse, with a comfortable room, Satun was really worth staying in, plenty to see and do including caves with monkeys and temples. Right in the middle of town and on a busy road. Great for restaurants and the food night market.
I came just to rest my head. Traveled from Phuket to Satun, then to catch the boat to Langkawi to cross the boarder before my Visa expired. The hotel is located next to an AMAZING restaurant that makes fresh bakes and delicious food.
Perfect overnight spot for getting to the Pakbara pier (ferry ride to Koh Lipe). Room was nice, clean, modern, and a great value. Owner was nice and helpful (gave us a ride for free to the pier).
Extremely friendly and professional stuff. Excellent communication and very helpful. Very high quality hotel. Good location. Very clean and comfortable. Very tasty breakfast.
It was a really pleasant stay. Really clean, super confortable bed... room was small, but got everything I needed.
The hotel has this prison vibe... quite cool tho.
