Our room was a studio which we chose to get a full kitchen for the 2 of us, primarily to make breakfast. The room was a bit cramped, but well equipped and worked well for 2 of us. The resort has good facilities (we used the hot tub), is RIGHT next to the slopes, has a super convenient and friendly ski valet to store your gear overnight. It is part of the base complex that has restaurants, convenience store, and ski shops so everything is in walking distance.

The ski resort has a lot of good terrain and great staff.
The ski resort has a lot of good terrain and great staff. However, the snow wasn’t good this year for skiing. We recommend skiers go later in the season. Also, there isn’t much of a village at the resort itself, and it’s a 5 mile drive to get to the town center that has additional shops/restaurants.

The hotel management was unresponsive.
The hotel management was unresponsive. My husband had Covid and we were unable to travel on the reservation dates, I booked through booking.com, they were awesome! But the hotel would not change or refund my reservations, even after bookings.com offered to wave any charges or commissions. Two calls were placed to the general manager with no return phone call… complete disregard for my situation.

Spaced between Bozeman and Western Gate to Yellowstone.
Spaced between Bozeman and Western Gate to Yellowstone. Have to have a car but the location lets you get to Yellowstone in about 1 1/2 hours and Bozeman Museum of the Rockies in about 40 minutes. On HWY 191 which is at intersection to Big Sky main day trips easy.

The mountain is enormous.
The mountain is enormous. It’s like three ski resorts in one place. Plus it’s in Montana, so the locals are nice. I will ski there again.
Public transportation from the big sky village to the mountain after 6 PM is nonexistent. If you stay in the hotels up on the mountain, you’ll need a car. All the nice restaurants are in the big sky village down the mountain. There is no Uber. There are no public buses like in BEAVER CREEK, Vail, or Park City. I was totally surprised at the lack of public transportation. I need to fix that.

Large ski resort with very long enjoyable runs.
Large ski resort with very long enjoyable runs. Cafeteria is crowded between 11:30 and 1:30. Although some lines were long the ski trails were not since skiers could spread out once they reach the top.
Town Center was nice but could use a few more shops.

Okay, so I will NEVER use booking.com or visit this property...
Okay, so I will NEVER use booking.com or visit this property again. Not at all worth it for the money. The airline delayed us two days and the hotel would Not accommodate us…. I mean really, who could of known about this additional variant??? Also, the lack of service personnel was evident . Again, for 1000 dollars a night I expect more…. Very dissatisfied and couldn’t wait to get home.
We loved everything about our stay. The hotel is right in the mountain village. We booked a studio room and we thought the price was great. When we arrived, we were surprised with an upgrade into a one- bedroom suite, which was huge and beautiful. The decor is fun all throughout the hotel. The staff were kind, welcoming and helpful. We even got evening turn-down service. We enjoyed a complimentary breakfast that was so delicious. Everything about our stay brought us joy!

We loved everything about this place! They had absolutely everything we needed and more. It was so cozy and comfortable I didn’t want to leave. If I could afford to buy condo in Big Sky I’d want one just like this! Absolutely beautiful, perfectly located, it was close to everything, quiet, safe and all around perfection. I miss it already.
The hotel in it's self was fine. The location of the hotel seemed a little strange at first but over all worked very well. The hotel is part of the Big Sky resort and they are what I had issues with, I would never stay with anything associated with Big Sky Resorts again.
Loved the smaller size of this hotel. Made me feel at home. The rooms are nice and big, with comfy beds and the microwave/fridge area is like a kitchenette, with plenty of room for making quick meals/snacks. Also, the staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming.
We loved the location — great hiking trails nearby, easy access to restaurants in town and only 10 mins to Big Sky Resort — and we loved that we could bring our dog with us.
