I had no idea that Castroville is 'The artichoke center os the world', I love artichokes! so it was an awesome surprise, Giant artichoke restaurant is a must, El Huarache 1 food truck too. My review of the Coastal Inn contained what I like most...
My review of the Coastal Inn contained what I like most about Castroville, but the biggest factor that is a major positive one is LOCATION. Hwy 1 on one end and Hwy 156 on the other end, with 183 running through as well. You can reach the most sought after sights and sites from Castroville, return, enjoy the wonderful agricultural setting of the town, and the wonderful farms, and their produce, prepared food(s), and items for sale, and settings surrounding Castroville. We truly enjoy Pezzini Farms, the next stop past Castroville main street, and Castroville has small town charms to take in that are just as enjoyable as the most glamorous towns in the area, and the simpler ones.
