We visited Cooperstown last July for an art exhibit and fell in love with it! Today we left the Landmark Inn with gratitude for the huge degree of professionalism and hospitality from the owners and staff, from our greeting to the gorgeous room, to out gourmet breakfast. Personal attention to visitors needs and comfort was truly apparent when the owner told us that they wanted to tarp our oak artist easel to protect it against any possible dew overnight in their private parking lot.
Spotting the copy of The Creative Act, by Rick Rubin in the sitting room, among other art books and seeing the contemporary original works on display made a big impact as well.

Facility decor and dining . Staff was friendly and helpful. Old style classic setup. Large bathroom. Was not crowded,( probably due to time of year). Close proximity to town.

My husband and I traveled first weeks of off season when weather was mild and foliage colors alive. Arrived on a Thursday evening to check in and visited Hall of Fame Friday. Cooperstown is a wonderful throwback town in the mountains. An enthusiastic baseball fan could spend hours, possibly 2 days+ taking in all the history presented. Enjoyed visiting history outside of major city in this lovely landscape. Thank you to the residents of this beautiful town for keeping it alive. Visited late October, no crowds. Even though some places were closed for the season, we don’t feel like we missed much. Museum was not crowded so easy to take time and read to experience. Mel’s 22 was fantastic for dinner… best to reserve ahead.

We usually visit Cooperstown in the summer but the fall is much nicer. In the summer the town is packed with little leaguers, which is to be expected. There are so many other places to visit outside of Cooperstown including the Fly Creek Cider Mill and Oneonta which is 30 minutes away from Cooperstown.

Cooperstown is a charming village, very walkable with excellent restaurants and shops. We especially liked the Doubleday Cafe which had gluten free bread available. The Baseball Hall of Fame is located in the village with reasonable cost parking available a short walk away. The Fenimore Art Museum and Farm Museums are close by. A very pleasant place. We watched a baseball game at Double Day Field to conclude our very pleasant day there.

Cooperstown is one the most beautiful places to visit and stay. In fact we are considering moving there one day that's how much we love it. It's clean and safe and the houses are just so picturesque...the people who do live there should be very proud ....they take excellent care of their homes and make the area so beautiful. The lakes are gorgeous. The hall of fame is so interesting if you enjoy baseball...Doubleday field is awesome and well kept...the shops and restaurants are top notch with very friendly staff. Doubleday Cafe has the best waffle you'll ever eat...the Hawkeye Grill has the best cheeseburger and prime rib panini you will ever taste and the view is beyond heavenly. Bottom line, if you want a relaxed, fun, just plain nice vacation...you will never go wrong with a stay in Cooperstown.

Glimmerglass lake Is beautiful, ride the Glimmerglass Queen.
Glimmerglass lake Is beautiful, ride the Glimmerglass Queen. Do the rail bikes, very neat and very easy to pedal. Fly Creek orchard for lunch, they have lots of neat things to look at, Brookwood point is a lovely old garden, you can rent a kayak and go out on the lake. Don't go to town during the baseball induction week. Fairly easy to find what your looking for and all the employees we encountered were very kind.
Location, location, location! Staying at the Baseball Town Motel is right in the heart of town - close to everything you want to do in Cooperstown. I parked the truck Friday and didn’t start it again until we left on Sunday morning. Also, having stayed at other hotels in town with very small parking lots that were difficult to navigate with a truck, really appreciated the extra space at the Baseball Town Motel.
Great location to visit Cooperstown. Right on the lake, so steps away from the water. There is a restaurant on the property to eat at (which was actually pretty good). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite small/dated. Parking included in our stay, which is great as there's no free parking in town. A 5 minute walk to the Hall of Fame. Would stay again if visiting the Hall of Fame.
It was very close to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Cooperstown which made our trip more enjoyable since we didn’t have to spend a lot of time in the car to go to and from places. GREAT breakfast! Probably the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. Coffee was good too at the coffee station. I loved the little “market” they have.
This was our third time staying at the Mohican. Perfect every time for a guy trip when all you need is a place to unwind on the porch and get a good nights sleep after a long day at the Baseball Hall of Fame.....we will be back. Walking distance to downtown Cooperstown and very friendly and helpful staff.
Great location, free parking, they accommodated our request for lower floor room, good information about surrounding area, there was a dining area available if you cared to bring in food, you can tell that efforts were made to provide the things expected in a hotel stay.
Decent breakfast (The lady there was extremely nice and kept the area tidy.) We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.
The matresses were firm, the room was clean, cozy and quiet. The kids said it was their favorite hotel on this trip!
The staff went out of their way to be nice, courteous, helpful, etc... Check in was a breeze, the room was beautiful and comfortable, and the entire vibe of the hotel was amazing. It felt like we stepped back in time but with all the comforts of today.
This was a great property right by Cooperstown dream park. Waking up to a fresh breakfast every morning was amazing. Definitely the only place my family will be staying if we are in Cooperstown.
Great view from our room over the lake. The indoor pool was small but it was great to have it -- we used it a lot. Hotel is well situated close to various restaurants and activities.
The staff was friendly; room was clean and comfortable; excellent breakfast; location was close to everything we wanted to see in the area including the normal Cooperstown stuff.
If you are looking for a comfortable, affordable place to stay in Cooperstown that is in walking distance to everything you need, then I highly recommend the Hotel Pratt!
