I love that this historic hotel is cared for by real small business owners that are part of the community and they work hard to make this a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Great cabins, super friendly staff who will go out of their way to help. Good location to everything
They have a small but very well run historical museum.
They have a small but very well run historical museum. The collection of Anasazi baskets is outstanding. We enjoyed the case about Fremont’s 4 expeditions as we are big followers of Kit Carson memorabilia.

The accommodations in the historic hotel are very nice.
The accommodations in the historic hotel are very nice. Don't expect a large shower - but it's well maintained.
The hotel only disappointed on some "changes" from our last stay. (Yes, we returned) No courtesy rolls & coffee in upstairs setting area, no great breakfast in dining room. And, sure, prices have gone up.
We loved this historic hotel! The room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed reading the newspaper clippings about the history of the hotel. The food truck in the courtyard was very convenient, as there are very few food options in town, especially after 8pm. The food truck was able to accommodate my gluten-free needs. The brewery, which is the other main place to dine out, was also nearby.
Tim, the owner, went above and beyond to assist my wife and me. We brought our kayak with us, but soon realized that there was no available transportation up the river. Tim not only volunteered to take us up the river and drop us off, but he assisted us with leaving our vehicle at the river's exit point so that we could readily return to the hotel when we were done! Now that is service!
This old historic historic hotel has modern conveniences done well without losing the flavor of the hotel’s history. The renovations since last we were here are remarkable. The staff is very helpful even though they are very few, they work hard to make each guest happy.
The restaurant is superb with fresh ingredients and creative dishes.
It is a very well kept secret.
Located conveniently right on the main street. Easy access. Parking on the street right next to the hotel. It's always special to stay at a historic hotel in Colorado. This is one of the oldest if not the oldest one in the state and it's nice to be able to look forward to a unique place with a good restaurant while you are traveling.
Loved our night at this historic hotel in Del Norte. Rooms were comfortable, temperature control excellent and we loved this old town. Sorry to have missed experiencing the lively bar scene and dining room, we highly recommend in the area, convenient to the Wolf Creek ski area and birding in the Monte Vista NWR.
After a rainy cold day the room was warm and the beds were comfortable, the shower was warm. We also ate at their restaurant and the food was delicious. I would definitely book their again and I will always remember this hotel as an excellent place.
honestly one of my best hotel experiences in the USA, so unexpected. excellent facilities, super friendly staff, great attention to detail. I find zero flaws! would love to stay again.
Beautifully restored hotel. Quiet and charming. Lovely elegant restaurant with great food. Staff were really friendly. Our bedroom was very spacious and light
