The hotel was very conveniently located close to the main entrance to the campus, as well as many delicious restaurants within walking distance in downtown Davis. It’s a newly renovated hotel that is clean and modern. The free continental breakfast had a lot of options for a light breakfast, which worked for us. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Loved the spacious rooms. Very comfortable beds and overall fantastic stay. Clean and very friendly staff welcomed us. Parking was easy, right outside the hotel and we were allowed to bring in our precious senior dog. Our dog is a huge part of our family so it was amazing to find such a nice hotel, also welcoming pets.

Staying in Dixon which is only 10 minutes for Davis was great as one gets a lot more for the money in accommodations. If you like Italian as well as Pizza- check out Marys Pizza Shack but be sure to ask about the crust if you order a pizza as they do not list the types but have different ones.

Dixon is a small town, but very convenient to get in and out...
Dixon is a small town, but very convenient to get in and out of Sacramento and Davis and over to Napa and such. You can fly into Sacramento (nice airport), and find a place to stay. There isn't a whole lot going on in the town, but you will find shopping (e.g. Walmart), restaurants, and so on. I even found a nice running route (by a creek and away from cars) not too far away.

Dixon is just far enough away from Sacramento and Davis to be more affordable. I was able to find a grocery store nearby with reasonable prices, and Dixon itself is a quiet town. There are a lot of options for food and shopping downtown Dixon, but it is also close to the Vacaville Outlets and UC Davis.
